The fine print says it must be used in one visit, but then in the description is says, “Today’s deal includes a second deluxe microdermabrasion, to be performed at another time of the customer’s choosing.”, can you clarify if it is all in one visit or two. Thank you.

Mindy F.

Is this a microdermabrasion with suction? I’ve heard some scary things about broken blood vessels, etc. with the ones with suction. What, exactly, does Papillon use (a wand, etc.)?

Larry R.

The company web site describes the Micorodermabration Treatments includes
Deluxe-Includes cleansing, extractions, mask and photomodulation.

This deal is described as two Deluxe Micorodermabration Treatments but does include the “extraction”.

My question is – does this deal incude the Deluxe treatment -including cleansing, extractions, mask and photomodulation as listed on the providers web site?

Thanks

Larry R.

Is there a limit to how many we can purchase?

kim b.

What are their hours? Are they open after 6 in the evening or on saturdays?

Mary C.

On the website, it says that the Deluxe microdermabrasion, @ $200, includes extractions; the Express version, @ $125, doesn’t. So if this deal doesn’t include extractions, why is it called 2 Deluxe microdermabrasions worth $400??

Robin K.

I also would like to know how many we can purchase for personal use, not to be given as gifts.

Anna K.

They are not very prompt with answering the phone….

Christine D.

If we’re worried about using light suctioning can we request the treatment without the light suctioning (that is the photomundulation, correct?)…. Also when it says “cleanse / mask,” is the mask the microdermabrasion beads? Are those applied with a wand or by hand or how?

Terry A.

Any idea how much extractions cost?

Anne F.

Does anyone know if this is the kind of treatment you must keep getting?

I’m just wondering if the skin goes back to normal after a certain period or is the skin “worse for the wear” if you do not keep getting treatments?

a) sorry about the phones. Thanks to groupon….ringing off the hook. you can also email gail@washingtonplastics.com

b) This procedure increases blood flow to skin, stimulating collagen and exfoliates outer layers. It is something people do repeat or do in series of 4-6 yearly. It works well in conjunction with good skincare, which we will suggest when you get your visia analysis.

yes you can get microderm without suction. photomodulation is a separate light treatment which turns off collagenase, the enzyme which breaks collagen down. painless!

Trebor W.

Can we add extractions to the package, for a fee?

Christine D.

Can I ask how you apply the microdermabrasion beads to the skin? Is it through a Sunbeam machine or what kind of machinery do you use?

Also, if you only do 2 sessions will your skin return back to normal after a few weeks or does it have long term positive effects?

Lastly, can you do microdermabrasion if you’re using retin a micro? I’ve heard you can take a break from the retin a for a week to do microdermabrasion but I want to clarify.

I or my PA will do the initial procedures. You can book in for a facial with extractions
with our full time aesthetician for a small fee.

How long after the procedure is your skin at it’s best. I have a couple of big events coming up and would love to look great.

Barry C.

1-2 days for an event is fine.
I would space the micro treatments a minimum of one week apart.
longer is fine

Barry: I would love to buy this groupon, but I work full time and it would not be appropriate for me to leave work for a spa treatment. It was answered earlier that your hours are 9-5 M-F, with possible later appts. on Monday. Can you tell me how late you will stay open on Mondays? The fact you are not open on at least 1 day of the weekend is really a deterrent for me buying this groupon.

Zelda W.

I’m an African-American female with sensitive skin. Is this procedure safe for me and is there any tingling, skin irritation or peeling afterwards.

Barry C.

robin, we can find a late day for you till 6-630.

and zelda it is safe for all skin types. minimal tingling/irritation

I’m a little clueless on this stuff since I have never done it before. What are extractions? If I do this and only do the two provided, is it worth it? If I do just two, will there be a benefit or would it be bad for my skin to only do the two? My skin is in pretty good shape right now so I don’t want to do anything that would accelerate its aging?

Barry C.

extractions are useful for clogged pores (blackheads). In absence of those, not needed. This reduces aging in any case and not accelerates it

Aloha – I missed out on this one as I didn’t get back to my email in time, but would love to see a similar offer in the future!

Mincey M.

Just following up on this, but how much is the “small fee” to add the facial with extractions on to your visit? Thanks.

Tanya Z.

Very disappointed in this purchase. First of all the “small fee” for extractions was $75. That is not a ‘small fee" in my book.
The actual microderm was about 6 minutes MAX – the rest of the 30 min appt. was a sales pitch for Dr. Cohen’s skin care line. Not to mention this was not performed by Dr. Cohen (which is fine – but don’t put that in the title of the offer if it will not be him performing the procedure).
I guess I really paid $60 for his “free book” & a sample of his lip care product.

Mincey M.

Thanks for sharing Tanya. I actually visited the center last week. $75 is steep but to their credit, they did not push it on me. In fact, they discouraged me from getting the additional extractions as their aesthetician does not think extractions are a good idea in general.

Also, to be fair, most microderm sessions do not last anywhere near 30 minutes. I have had them done in a number of spas and also a dermatologist’s office. At the derm’s office, the actual microderm lasted maybe 8 minutes max. After the nurse/aesthetician/doctor makes a few passes over your face, in reality it will not last more than 10 minutes. It’s kind of an ‘industry wide’ thing to quote 30 minutes or more for a microderm session that is actually very short. I think they are adding all the prepping into the time…

So in other words, my microderm session at Dr Barry C through groupon was similar to the other sessions of microderm sessions I have had.

The big plus with the groupon is you get that ‘photomodulation’ therapy afterwards. I forgot the name of it but spas charge around the groupon price ($50-$60) for a session, one of the tradenames is “Gentle Waves”.

I meant to buy this as a gift and just realized that my name is on the Groupon. Can my sister-in-law still use it?

MARIBEL M.

Does the office suggest not showing up with makeup before the procedure?
