As eclectic as an artist's palette, the curriculum at Bayview Arts School strives to build well-rounded creative individuals. Beginning at age 2, classes help young people learn to express themselves through fun hands-on projects while learning the fundamentals of line, color, and shape. From there, blossoming artists are introduced to art history concepts while studying and emulating the styles and techniques of famous painters, as well as their mustaches. Students can continue straight through high school, where anyone applying for an art degree can hone their portfolio for college applications. Keeping small class sizes—always between four and eight students—is also important to the learning process here and instructors work closely with students and integrate materials based on The Ontario Curriculum for Arts.
