Bear Rock Cafe

Bear Rock Cafe's brand of American food focuses on fresh ingredients, adding a veneer of California cuisine to its classic dishes. To cater to its clientele, the staff allows kids to eat for free on Sundays and sets up free WiFi, so guests can sip freshly brewed coffee and sample offerings from two menus as they finally finish willing their blogs into existence. On the café menu, the staff lists a selection of 11 salads, an eclectic mix of hot and cold sandwiches, and individual pizzetas. Heartier fare dominates the dinner menu, which features meatloaf marsala, pot roast that has been braised for three hours, and mahi mahi with pineapple-mango salsa.

The Groupon Guide to: Tricking Your Kids into Eating Vegetables

Kids don't want to eat vegetables because vegetables aren't fun. Make legumes laughably fun with these tips for preparing vegetables:

  • Put black beans on circular slices of potato to give your kids healthier "chocolate-chip cookies."

  • Cut corn off the cob and offer their picky palates some "rotten goblin teeth."

  • Mash yams and your young ones will be thrilled to eat "a very sick man's innards."

  • An avocado kind of looks like a hand grenade.

  • Remove the strings from celery. Kids will voluntarily eat celery if it's not strung like some kind of ridiculous violin.

Mom, can I have seconds of goblin teeth?
