$149 for a One-Night Stay with a Rose Petal Package ($345 Value)

The Rose Petal Package includes the following:

  • Turndown service with fresh rose petals
  • Candles
  • Chocolate-covered strawberries
  • Dinner for two
  • Breakfast for two
  • Complimentary beverage

Situated on an 800-acre working cattle ranch, Beaumont Ranch's cozy bed-and-breakfast immerses guests amid antique furniture, quirky decor, and amenities both domestic and romantic. Guests retire to a room at Chisholm Fork in Old Town, where they receive rose-petal turndown service, after a dinner at the Lone Star Barn that might include fresh seafood and barbecue. Couples may share a beverage while bathing in an antique claw-foot tub or surfing the wireless Internet. Come morning, The Branding Room heaps plates with morsels that range from biscuits ‘n’ gravy to oatmeal ‘n’ eggs. Freshly fueled lodgers can explore the ranch's supplemental activities, which include line dancing, riding horseback, and laughing.

Beaumont Ranch

Inspired by the cowboys who herd longhorn cattle nearby, Beaumont Ranch hosts country concerts, organizes ranch-life activities, and bunks guests in rooms with Western motifs. Instead of hailing a time machine on the street, guests stroll through the 1880s in Chisholm Fork, an Old West–style town filled with old-fashioned shops, historical reenactments, and chapel services. As aspiring cowpokes trot the ranch's trails on horseback, adventure seekers breeze across fields and forests on a 1,500-foot zipline. Activities such as volleyball, disc golf, and archery sate competitive urges, and the lake provides a placid venue for paddle-boating and fishing. Musicians drop by the ranch on a regular basis, filling Friday-night fish fries and Saturday-night barbecues with classic country tunes. To calm the senses after an ATV adventure, visitors can book a massage at the BeauMonde Spa or unwind in one of 21 guest rooms, whose confines are as cozy as a bear rug's bear hug.

The Groupon Guide to: Spicing Up a Monologue

Monologues are the most boring part of plays since they only involve a single performer and that single performer is never an adorable baby actor. To make these seemingly unending passages more interesting, follow these helpful tips:

  • Do something interesting with your voice. You could give your character an accent or, if you can't do a convincing accent, just yell the entire time.

  • Cut out all the unnecessary words, such as articles and any full sentences that don't foreshadow how the main character is a group of children hiding inside a man's suit.

  • Wear a funky hat or rad loafers. That'll give the audience something to look at!

  • Perform it with multiple people and tell the director you're going to start calling it a fun-o-logue.

  • Start at the end of the monologue and work backward. Then when you finish, tell the audience that they just got Pranked'd™. (If you're interested in buying the rights to use the name Pranked'd™, probably for a hilarious hidden-camera goof show, please contact Groupon for more information.)

Why is there so much yelling in plays? Find out in today's Groupon Guide.
