$799 for a Custom Two-Piece Suit ($1,800 Value)

At Beckett & Robb, which is celebrating its One Embarcadero Center grand opening, staffers cut, sew, and hem a two-piece suit from Loro Piana's Four Seasons collection. Construction is based on your choice of elements such as fabric pattern, jacket fit, pocket style, venting, and pleats, and customers can choose two from the following: pants, vest, and jacket.

Beckett & Robb

Both Beckett & Robb co-founders have been designing and constructing clothing for 13 years each, and they started this particular suit business in Salt Lake City in 2009. Before becoming a Beckett & Robb suit, the bolts of European cloth must embark on a long journey. Staff harvests fabric for suits and shirts from British and Italian mills such as Loro Piana, Zegna, and Reda. They sift through more than 2,000 fabric samples and translate more than 30 measurements into a personal tailored fit, customizing suit components ranging from lapel style and jacket fit to linings and colored undercollars.
