Hi Rhonda, In a hot stone massage heated stones are placed on different parts of the body in order to help relax and unwind the muscles. Smaller stones are also used as tools to perform different massage techniques as the other stones are in place. As long as you are not overly sensitive to heat this is an amazing experience.
