The Berks Jazz Fest makes spring sizzle with performances by some of the country's hottest jazz, blues, and R & B artists. With more than 130 ear-pleasing events throughout Berks County, the fest draws more than 50,000 music mavens eager to hear stars such as Grammy-nominated saxophonist Gerald Albright or Vital Information, a supergroup of soul, jazz, and funk artists helmed by Modern Drummer hall of famer Steve Smith. Fans of Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, and Cole Porter will enjoy The Vista All-Stars, watching sax man Houston Person and his six swinging bandmates exchange jaw-dropping riffs and award-winning chili recipes. Seats for each concert are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets may be picked up at the Sovereign Center Box Office anytime up to the day of the show.
