$45 for One Admission to Public Mix It Up Cooking Party (Up to $80 Value)

Mix It Up cooking parties invite culinary enthusiasts to explore Bespoke Cuisine’s commercial kitchen under the guidance of a professional chef. After snacking on some complimentary cheese and grabbing a BYOB drink, guests choose a station, where they will be tasked with creating a specific menu item and practicing the necessary cooking techniques. Menus change constantly, but upcoming parties will cover topics such as international appetizers and modern Mexican food. Once amateur chefs have completed their dishes and roamed around the kitchen to observe their peers at work, they assemble in the dining room to feast upon the spoils of their efforts. Following the event, Bespoke emails the recipes so guests can recreate the dishes at home. See the current cooking party schedule.

Bespoke Cuisine

Creativity, collaboration, and carbs. The owners of Bespoke Cuisine advocate all three. According to their company manifesto, they also believe “eating well is a life skill,” “a little fat never hurt anyone,” and “anyone can cook delicious food.” The staff expounds on these and other company principles at public and private cooking parties, which give visitors a glimpse inside Bespoke’s commercial kitchen on Randolph Street's Restaurant Row without stowing away in a gravy vat. During these BYOB events, chefs help guests construct their own meals and teach basic cooking skills before the group retires to the dining room to eat the fruits of their labor. For those who prefer a hands-off experience, Bespoke also caters events or hosts them in a chic private-event space.

The Groupon Guide to: Posting on Craigslist

Craigslist is an online message board where people can interact with their community without ever leaving the safety and smell bubble of their own home. Here are some tips for navigating through Craig's universe:

  • Sell your apartment by describing it as "cozy," "luxurious," and "absolutely not a devil box just full of devils."

  • Get the attention of a "missed connection" you saw on the bus by mentioning a book they were reading and then the more challenging book you were reading.

  • If you're looking for a new couch, start by skimming the section for "furniture" and end by skimming the section for "cooperative families who will let you sit on their backs couch-style."

  • If you're looking for a job, check out the "TV/film/video" category first. That's where Hollywood goes to find all of their new movie stars.

I see you like to read. Would you like me to suggest some thought-provoking tomes?
