Owner Carl Anderson, who hails from Wolfgang Puck Catering, has an eye for culinary talent and innovative concepts. After all, he was able to enlist Executive Chef Jose Victorio, who captures the essence of his Peruvian homeland with traditional, seasonal dishes enhanced by exotic flavors indigenous to the Andes, the Amazon, and Asia. Victorio lavishes his rotating menus of fresh ceviches, tender lamb, and paella with exotic spices and complex sauces. To complement these unique flavors, bartenders concoct cocktails such as Peruvian piscos—potent grape brandies—and pour South American wines and Latin beers.

Within the eatery, which is designed to pay homage to Anderson's wife, Lu Lu, serpentine chandeliers with globe bulbs dangle over magenta booths and flower-topped tables illuminated by candlelight. Private couches and tables cordoned off by diaphanous red drapes afford lovers the opportunity to discreetly feed each other delectable treats while maintaining eye contact for a full four minutes.
