Q: When does this expire?
Looks like it expires in Aug 2011
I purchased two, I want to use one myself and the other for my fiancé but I do not see how I can make one a gift and leave the other as mine. Can someone let me know if I will be able to present both groupons for he and I if it is not designated specifically as a gift? I would hate to have to cancel my order and reorder them. Woops, saw that it is redeemable at both locations, what I meant was can I go to both studios (I live in W Seattle but work in Fremont)? Sometimes I will want to work out close to home and others after work in Fremont. Thank you!!

Marie, you will need to print the Groupon voucher. Go to “my stuff” and then select your Groupon to print and follow the redemption instructions on it.

I’m in big trouble!!! My brother and I both agreed to buy the coupon yesterday for the K1 speedway and I missed it before it expired! I’m hoping there is some way I can buy the coupon still???

I’m pretty sure that I know the answer to this considering the 1-year expiration date, but I wanted to verify that the one month doesn’t begin until the first date I attend a class. I am going to be out of town during a large chunk of August, and I wouldn’t be able to start until September…am I understanding that correctly?

You are spot on!
You can begin your Groupon at any time in the next year. Once you do, you have 30 days from the start to practice unlimited yoga! Consider any travel, etc. as we cannot extend the 30 days.
Also, we are offering a $199 2-month unlimited if you purchase before the end of your package, so consider that, we’d love to have you stay aboard after the 30 day Groupon! :)

What if I bought one for a friend and then later learned that she had already purchased one for herself? Can she use both or do I forfeit $30?

I currently go the West Seattle studio (and LOVE it!). Can I really not take advantage of this Groupon then?
I bought this deal and want to use it in September. It says “preregistration required” so I assume I can’t just show up for a class and start using my month. How do I preregister? Thanks.
Groupon is a funny place. When I hit submit payment, it told me that the information will be shared with unsecure sites of everybody and their brothers. So, I cancelled the purchase instead of continuing. A few hours later I discovered the completion of purchase. I am not comfortable with the process.
I’m thinking about a gift. Will she be able to start in August? You’ve gotten a large response and I’m worried you won’t have space for her.

Unfortunately, the Groupon is aimed at bringing new or lapsed students to the studio. However, we are offering $199 for two months unlimited to our regular students through August! :)

To pre-register, we are basically asking you to create an account online to ease the registration process at the studio since we expect to be busy! Just go to www.bikramyogaseattle.com and click on “Create/view your account” on the home page right side. Follow the directions from there :) Then, come to any class on the schedule!

Without a doubt, we’ve had a huge response and expect the studio to be busy. With that, there are classes that are less busy (6 a.m., 8 p.m.) and we absolutely recommend coming to class early to ensure a spot (we open the doors 30 minutes before class). Your friend can start her package any time in the next year, and will get 30 days from her start date.

Shoreline is actually a studio owned by different (wonderful!) folks. Our groupon is not redeemable there. Our two locations are in Fremont & West Seattle, and the groupon can be used at these two studios only. Most all yoga studios have some sort of introductory deal (though not as juicy as the groupon!). Good luck – all yoga is good yoga – do what works for you!

do you anticipate that most new folks will start immediately? you’ve had almost 2600 folks sign up—that’s going to mean super full studios for most classes, maybe even turning people away if they don’t get there early enough. imho, bikram is better when you’re not packed in like sardines. so, i’m just trying to figure out when to start. thanks!

Totally fair concern! How full the studio is definitely is differently ‘appreciated’ by different people – some of us love it packed for the energy of so many people! Others definitely prefer more space. We recommend students do what’s best for them!
We do expect the first month or two to be quite busy – however, we thought this was a great time for the groupon as, in general, summer is a little slower for hot yoga.
With that – from experiene at other Bikram studios, the first month or two had a lot of traffic after the groupon. If you want to wait until slower time, perhaps October/November would be a good start time. January kicks up again with New Years’ resolutions in full swing :) And, though it far off, next spring/summer when it gets warm and sunny outside (in theory), the studio does get a bit less populated.
For now, however, a few tips if you want to start right away:
- Early and late classes, as well as noon are often less busy (6 a.m., 8 p.m./8:30 p.m. , and noon)
- Early on weekends (8 a.m.) is another good option
- After work, classes early in the week (esp. Monday) are very busy; as the week goes on, we usually see a little more space in the classes
- Try our West Seattle studio! Often it has more spaces open.

I purchased a voucher but nothing is showing up in “my stuff”. Is there a delay because I am new to Groupon or because the deal was offered for more than one day?
How do we get our voucher? I paid for it but did not receive a confirmation or an email? It just said it processed my info.
