Do you need to have any certification or prior experience with guns? I've never shot anything other than a BB gun, so I wasn't sure if I'd be able to take advantage of this offer without going to some sort of training class first.

No, you do not need any certification or prior experience with firearms. We always have multiple Range Safety Officers (RSO) on the range at all times. If you are unfamiliar with firearms, one of our RSOs will join on the range and give you basic safety and handling instruction. All of our shooting lanes (pistol and rifle) are constantly monitored with a closed-circuit TV system, to ensure safety at all times.

Is it possible to have 6 people in a group shooting at one time? I would like to do this with my husband and our adult 2 sons & thier wives. I realize I can only purchase 4 tickets, but 1 of my sons could buy 2 tickets. I would just want to book all of us at the same time. Is that possible?

Yes, it is possible to do this. If you were to purchase a 4-person package and a 2-person package, we could schedule them together. You can purchase the packages and try to use the Groupon online scheduler, or you can call (303)988-5587 x301, and we can set your appointments that way. Please note, the dates and times that are open to book all 6 people together will be more limited than a 2-person or 4-person party.

Can you buy more ammo than just the 50 rounds? I've never done this so I am not even sure if there would be time for more ammo?

The deal includes 1 box of ammo, but you are welcome to buy as much additional ammo as you want. Depending on your shooting style, some people can shoot 50 rounds very quickly, other will take longer.

What are the maximum number of participants you can have at one time. I have see that at least 6 can be accommodated. I will have a group of all women. Can we combine this Groupon with Range time with a basic firearm class before range time? All of us are beginners who have never fired a firearm. Please let me know options, times of day and amount of time required for range time and class if available.

The maximum number of participants is set by the available time and space. Best case scenario would be 6 people (either 3 2-person deals, or a 4-person and a 2-person deal) in any given time slot. If you just want some basic instruction and safety training, we can provide that when you come up for your scheduled appointment and one of our Range Safety Officers can join you on the range (this would be better if it were on the weekdays, during the day, when we are less busy). If you want a full group-private lesson, we can do that as well. They run between 60-90 minutes depending on the number of participants and how fast the material is covered. This would be in addition to the Groupon deal. The normal rate for a group-private is $125/hr for the first person and $25/hr for each additional person. Setting up a group-private for 6 or more people would take about 2 weeks or so of lead time. I hope I answered your question adequately. If you wanted to bring a rifle as well, you are welcome to, but it will be at our standard rifle range rate and based on lane availability as normal for any non-members coming to shoot. One of the answers states that one of the adults over the age of 21 must be present and be the parent or guardian of the minor child. Does this mean that a grandfather could not take his minor grandchild (teenager) to the range for the shooting of the weapon???

For inexperienced shooters, one of our Range Safety Officers (RSOs) will join you on the range and cover basic safety and operations of the firearm. We do offer private instruction, but it cannot be combined with this particular deal, do to scheduling and manpower issues. If you would like more information on private instruction, please feel free to call us at (303)988-5587 x201. There are 50 rounds in each box of target ammo. Each additional box of .22LR is $.25, 9mm is $16.50 and .38SPL is $21.25.
