If 2 of us are experienced boaters and 4 of us weigh less than 120lb, may we rent with 7 people for 99$ + 25$?, no captain

Good morning Lisa. As in the case of the group with 3 kids each situation is different. If what you state about the boating experience and the guests weight being true I would be okay with disregarding the capt in your case. Keep in mind we want our guests to have an amazing time, but our guests safety is most important. We look forward to seeing you on the dock. Don't forget there is a cooler already full of ice on the boat so bring your drinks and also a plug for your cell phone or iPod so you can bring your own music.

Hi. Saw your answer above but unsure how mysituation would apply. We are five adults with 3 little kids 7,5, and 2. The three kids weighing the same as a sixth adult. First, would we still have to pay extra? Second would we be required to have a captain (we go boating all the time)? Third, what would our total Bill be? Thanks for your help, a bunch of out friends have the same question.

David M. asked 5 months, 26 days, 21 hours, and 59 minutes ago - 1 answer

Eddie V.

Good morning David. Let me answer this question as a blanket response first. As I mentioned previously the extra weight usually changes the handling which is why we require the captain when the six person limit is reached. There is also a fee of $25 per person when you pass 6. Up to a total of 8. So the maximum charge would be $150. ($100 captain and $25 for both guests). However in your situation, you stated that you are an avid boater and the extra 2 persons are 5 and 2 years old. As long as you do have sufficient boating experience and the kids weight was normal for their age I would be fine waiving both the capt rule and the extra person fee. We love kids and keep in mind those rules were put in place for safety reasons on the other end of that spectrum.

I have two small dogs I'd like to bring on the boat with me. Are dogs permitted on the boats?

Elizabeth m. asked 5 months, 26 days, 21 hours, and 40 minutes ago - 1 answer

Good morning Elizabeth. Dogs ARE allowed on these boats.

Can we rent a boat if we are 7 people? 4 weigh less than 120 lb. Do you also have sailboats for rent at a discount rate? Thanks.

Lisa N. asked 5 months, 27 days, 22 hours, and 55 minutes ago - 1 answer

The extra weight changes the way the boat handles so a captain will need to be hired in order to exceed 6 passengers. You can bring up to 8 people(weight permitting). There will be a $25 per person fee if the 6 person limit is exceeded.
