Body Language Fitness & Yoga Center's highly qualified instructors host more than 80 classes per week in both a heated yoga studio and a workout room. Better Backs yoga classes set spines into healthy postures as patrons bask in 75–78 degree heat, teaching vertebrae to whistle like tea kettles in ascending harmonies. Vinyasa classes ramp up the room temperature to 85–90 degrees for more intense poses, fluid breathing work, and tests of flexibility. Students can boogey to Latin-inspired beats during Zumba class, which can include the use of weights. During cardio-kickboxing sessions, alternatively, trainees launch heart-healthy jabs at holograms of high-school exes. Physiques reporting to R.I.P.P.E.D.—Resistance, Intervals, Power, Plyometrics, and Endurance—drop calories and cement muscles by heaving free weights and participating in body-weight exercises and dynamic daily routines. Before most classes, guests can deposit their youngsters at the center's onsite childcare service.

After collecting 13 years of teaching experience, certification from ACE Fitness and Jonny Kest's Center for Yoga, and a degree as a registered dietitian, Andrea von Behren combined her passions for healthy living and strategic poses into Body Language Fitness & Yoga Center. There, a highly trained staff patrols both a heated yoga studio and designated workout room during more than 80 weekly classes. Andrea strives to keep the center's atmosphere convivial yet challenging with a custom blend of cardio, strength training, yoga, and nutritional guidance. Her efforts have earned the center the title of Detroit's Best Yoga Studio from Vote 4 The Best of Summer 2011. Alongside the majority of fitness and yoga classes, onsite child care helps to foster a family-friendly ambiance and adorable games of Duck, Duck, Downward Dog.
