Adopting exercises from other cultures can help shake up a workout, which explains the growing popularity of that sport in which Scottish guys throw logs. Speak the universal language—sweating—with this Groupon.

Choose from Three Options

  • $39 for 5 fitness classes (a $100 value)
  • $59 for 10 fitness classes (a $170 value)

Instructors combine original, ballet-based choreography with barre exercises and resistance bands to cultivate slim physiques and long, lean muscles. They keep the number of participants per class to about 10 so they can make sure students perform the exercises correctly and in a manner that's healthy for their bodies. See the schedule for available class times.

bodyLogic

As a lifelong dancer and fitness enthusiast, Jillian Dreusike always looked for ways to extract elements from her dance training and present them in the context of a total-body fitness class. In 2010, she founded bodyLogic to do just that, mixing ballet-based choreography with barre work and the use of resistance bands to create an original fitness system. On her website she’s quoted as saying, "You only get one body, so be sure you know how to work it the right way." She embraces this philosophy in every class, keeping group sizes to 10 or fewer students in order to provide personal attention for each participant. She ensures that her charges perform each movement in the healthiest way possible, reinforcing the way the body naturally works, to build muscle and endurance—such as keeping the spine straight when standing or keeping the pinky lifted when pretending to drink.

The Groupon Guide to: Posting on Craigslist

Craigslist is an online message board where people can interact with their community without ever leaving the safety and smell bubble of their own home. Here are some tips for navigating through Craig's universe:

  • Sell your apartment by describing it as "cozy," "luxurious," and "absolutely not a devil box just full of devils."

  • Get the attention of a "missed connection" you saw on the bus by mentioning a book they were reading and then the more challenging book you were reading.

  • If you're looking for a new couch, start by skimming the section for "furniture" and end by skimming the section for "cooperative families who will let you sit on their backs couch-style."

  • If you're looking for a job, check out the "TV/film/video" category first. That's where Hollywood goes to find all of their new movie stars.

I see you like to read. Would you like me to suggest some thought-provoking tomes?
