During one-hour nature tours, US Coast Guard–certified captains pilot 17-passenger airboats through the Central Florida Everglades. Reaching speeds of up to 45 miles per hour, airboats zip groups through swampy wetlands and pass wildlife such as alligators, eagles, turtles, and birds. A live gator demonstration is offered after each ride, which presents a chance to snap photos and learn firsthand why gators have replaced dogs as the guards of junkyards. Tours depart daily and regularly from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Life vests and ear protection is provided, and children aged 2 and younger ride for free.

Boggy Creek Airboat Rides

In 1994, owners Chris and Margie Long established Boggy Creek Airboat Rides with a single, six-passenger vessel. Recently, their company celebrated its 20th anniversary, and their fleet has grown to more than a dozen boats, and the business has whisked more than one million passengers through Orlando's nearby wetlands. From two locations, Boggy Creek's fan-propelled watercrafts launch into the Florida Everglades, exploring the swampy habitats of gators, turtles, eagles, exotic birds, and exiled Frankensteins. Four different tours offer varied experiences, including a night ride, during which participants observe red-eyed gators prowling for prey. US Coast Guard–certified captains helm every ride, which are safe for explorers of all ages—even infants

Reviews

Our captain was very knowledgable and after the ride we got to hold a small gator and ask more questions.

It was thrilling riding along so fast at times, and other times creeping along on the lookout for various wildlife.
