Choose from Three Options

  • $15 to adopt 5 ducks in the Rubber Duck Regatta (a $25 value)
  • $28 to adopt 10 ducks in the Rubber Duck Regatta (a $50 value)
  • $50 to adopt 20 ducks in the Rubber Duck Regatta (a $100 value)

At 2 p.m. on May 11, a sea of yellow rubber duckies will overtake a course on Cosby Lake as part of a benefit for the Boys & Girls Club of Central Alabama. All the proceeds raised from each adopted rubber duck go toward programming at the BGCCA and gives the participant one entry to win prizes—such as the $5,000 grand prize or an iPad mini—if their duck is among the first to make it across the lake course. Purchasers do not need to be present at the race for their duck to win.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Alabama

Programs that build character, leadership, and valuable skills for young people are at the heart of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Alabama’s main mission. Today more than 8,000 children and teens count on the four area BGCCA clubs as a place where they can learn to grow and hone their abilities. By providing a safe place where children and teens can both learn and have fun, the centers hope to promote healthy lifestyles, community engagement, and a greater readiness for the working world. That mission is most apparent in the success of program graduates, who graduate from high school at a rate of 90%, compared to 66% nationally.
