Choose from Three Options

  • $169 for a theory and confined water scuba course with two additional custom pool dives for one (a $349 value)
  • $319 for a theory and confined water scuba course with two additional custom pool dives for two (a $698 value)
  • $399 for a full scuba-certification course (C-Card) with two days of open-water dives and an advanced-certification course (a $984 value)

The theory and confined custom pool course includes three instructor-led sessions at the pool, as well as two additional instructor-supervised pool dives outside the course. The pool sessions take place on Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. or on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 7 p.m. (Weekend sessions are subject to availability.) Afterward, students will still need four open water dives to be certified; they can acquire their transcripts and bring them to any other business that offers diving certification. The theory and confined custom pool course options also include a $50 credit toward products from the dive shop for each person.

The certification course begins with three Tuesday-night instructor-led sessions at the pool from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. As part of the course, students also take two days of custom pool diving, with all equipment included, held on Wednesday and Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Students receive certification after filling out log books and returning equipment. The advanced course then tests abilities with five different custom dive scenarios.

DiveAqua

For more than 40 years, DiveAqua has taught novice divers across Canada the subaquatic ropes. The staff's specialty is a comprehensive curriculum of skills and certification instruction that commences in the classroom, where students learn about diving safety and how to use equipment. Afterward, they gear up and head to the indoor pool to learn proper snorkeling and scuba-diving skills while becoming comfortable with the equipment in the gravity-defying environment. Divers opting for the certification participate in open-water dive sessions before receiving their certification card, which allows them to dive anywhere in the world. In addition to conducting instructional classes, DiveAqua offers a variety of professional diving gear, available to rent or own. At each store location, staff members stand by to outfit divers in wetsuits, tanks, and regulators.
