Is there a limit on the number of groupons that can be purchased per person and/or used on the same tour? Would I be able to buy multiple groupons and apply them for a large group tour?

In regards to reservations:
I can only assume that everyone that books this is going to want to schedule a tour on a weekend. There are around 50 people who have already purchased this and I am sure the number will continue to grow – this deal expires in August. What happens if all of the weekend tours get booked? Can we get a refund?

There is no limit on the number that can be purchased per person (for personal use or as gifts) but we ask that you only apply 2 groupons on a single group tour. For example, if you have a group of 10 guests, 2 groupons can be applied to the tour, leaving the balance for 6 guests on your tour. This essentially brings down the per person cost for everyone on your tour, or allows a lucky 4 guests to go at the Groupon Special Rate. If you are trying to plan a specific event with a set number of guests confirmed, or a very large group tour (15 or more guests) please contact me via phone or e-mail (my contact info is below) and we can discuss the specifics of your situation and see how we can help you out. We are experiencing a large call volume today, so if you get our voicemail, please leave a message and we WILL get back to you ASAP (in time to purchase your groupon!)

We do tours 7 days a week, and have several great breweries that are available during weekdays, evenings, and even some on Sundays. We can also run several of our 2 1/2 Hour Tasters Tours in a one day, depending on timing and specific group details. We will work closely with you to accommodate your requests for timing and tour dates, and if we do not have availability during the allotted time period, of course we will allow you to extend out the expiration date on your groupon. If the delay in timing is due to any scheduling conflicts on our part, we will honor your groupon after the August expiration date.

When I went to stone Brewery, the tour was free. Not a lot to see for it to take 2 1/2 hours. I will pass on this one.

This is a bit confusing: so if i was interested in the 5 hour tour at 139/pp, 2 people would cost 280. If i purchase 2 groupons for 89 ea. value of 190 each that would equal 380.

Since each of our tours are custom designed, the specifics are created to best suit your ideal brewery tour. The number of breweries is based on how many we can visit, based on where we are picking your group up in San Diego County. In most cases, to hire a driver and book an SUV for transportation (in order to allow for safe and sober transportation) for 2 1/2 hours is over $125, not including taxes, tips, etc. In Brew Hop tours, your transportation is included, you have an educated tour host, tours at each facility (duration is usually based on how many questions you ask) and ALL your beer samples are included in the brewery tour at each location we visit. There is a lot of value packed into one groupon.

The tour at Stone Brewery is free and I think their tour is amazing! It’s an impressive facility, and the tours are about 45 minutes followed by a beer tasting. If you were to go alone, you usually will have to get your name in early to get a tour, especially on weekends. We have special relationships with the breweries that allow us to avoid that situation at our partner breweries. The 2 1/2 hours includes luxury transportation to and from the breweries, and hopefully, depending on where in town we are starting your tour, we can visit another great brewery location on your Brew Hop. We also work with 20+ breweries in town (where is not free to tour and taste), so we don’t have to visit Stone Brewery, especially since you’ve been there already.

We can pick up anywhere in San Diego County. Your tour route and the number of breweries we visit will be based on how much time we have from your pick up location.

Hi Susan,
This tour is for two guests. The 2 1/2 hour tour is usually $95 per person (value of $190) which you are getting for $89 today.
The 5 hour tour is $139 per person, so a tour for two is $278. She can apply the $89 toward the tour for two on the 5 hour, and pay the difference. (Per groupon, it’s an extra $89 to extend this to a 5 hour tour)

As a San Diego local, and an extreme beer geek, I want to share some personal experience here. My girlfriend and I took the 5 hour tour this past November. It was nothing short of awesome! We were picked up in a very nice SUV and visited Ballast Point, Stone, Lost Abbey and Pizza Port Carlsbad.
Brew Hop has very special relationships with all of San Diego’s breweries/brewers and we were treated like family at all locations. It’s a lot of fun being able to continue your tastings in the vehicle by purchasing your favorite bottles at the breweries!
We enjoyed our Brew Hop tour so much, that I just purchased this amazing deal, to venture out on another custom tour!

What are the chances of getting in a second brewery on a tour like this? We live in the North Park area and would probably be looking at doing something like Lost Abbey and Green Flash, if that helps.

I purchased the grouper for 2 package for my husbands birthday in march! i want to schedule a tour for us on Friday, March 12. We live in Oceanside. I was wondering if there would be an opening that day, how many brewerys we can attend with that distance, and what type of car we would be transported in…
also i am still a little confused on the pricing if we wanted a 5hr tour.
i paid 89 for 2 1/2hr (value 190)
if i want the 5hr tour, and i purchased an extra package for 89 (total for me 180)
what would be my difference for the 5hr tour… total cost to me.. total value i am recieving…

What are the hours of operation for the tour? What is the latest in the evening that we can schedule to go?

All tours are custom designed for your party. Depending on the day, we can start as late as 5 pm (depending on where we are going), and on weekends, sometimes as late as 4:30. It all depends on the tour route and pick up location, as well as the breweries schedules.

Hi Eli,
Each Groupon is good for 2 guests for a 2.5 hour Brew Hop tour. If there are two of you and you want to upgrade to a 5 hour tour you would just need 1 Groupon and then pay an $89 upcharge directly to Brew Hop. You can pay the up charge when you call to book your Brew Hop.
