$84 for Eight Group-Swimming Lessons ($168 Value)

All-ages swim lessons are held in small groups separated by skill level, allowing instructors to closely monitor each student and help them safely and swiftly develop proper swimming skills. There’s a maximum of four swimmers per group during day lessons and five swimmers per group during night lessons. Swimming lessons are also a great gift idea for grandkids.

Buckler Aquatics

Buckler Aquatics' Red Cross certified swim instructors teach kids ages six months and up the ways of the water in two large, clean, heated pools. For their youngest charges, they use the Buckler Method, a style of teaching designed for babies whose most recent residence was within the womb. The technique uses the fact that babies are born knowing how to swim to help keep infants fit and develop their motor control abilities.

The staff assigns older students to sessions based on ability, providing individualized instruction in a group setting. They focus on encouragement and simple technique corrections, allowing each swimmer to proceed at his or her own pace. Parents can observe all the pool fun through a one-way window adjacent to the pool, or join in the splashing during monthly free family swims.

The Groupon Guide to: Tricking Your Kids into Eating Vegetables

Kids don't want to eat vegetables because vegetables aren't fun. Make legumes laughably fun with these tips for preparing vegetables:

  • Put black beans on circular slices of potato to give your kids healthier "chocolate-chip cookies."

  • Cut corn off the cob and offer their picky palates some "rotten goblin teeth."

  • Mash yams and your young ones will be thrilled to eat "a very sick man's innards."

  • An avocado kind of looks like a hand grenade.

  • Remove the strings from celery. Kids will voluntarily eat celery if it's not strung like some kind of ridiculous violin.

Mom, can I have seconds of goblin teeth?
