For nearly three decades, Dr. Brad J. Buxton has kept his office up to speed on emerging chiropractic tools and techniques. In his office, the traditional image of chiropractors cracking and popping backbones is replaced by a tableau of computer-guided decompression and adjustment therapies. The office’s ProAdjuster sensors analyze the spine, revealing subluxations and graphically charting the results on a monitor. During DTS decompression treatments, clients relax on the padded traction table while a computer-controlled belt and harness system gently elongates the spine. The resulting vacuum produced inside the expanding disks draws in oxygen to decrease inflammation, which can ease discomfort from injuries.
