- Kids earn reward points in middle & high school
- Points converted into scholarship funds
The high costs of postsecondary education place a financial strain upon many students and their families, especially those in economically disadvantaged situations. Cabrini Connections enrolls middle- and high-school students in a rewards system that culminates with monetary scholarships called Graduation Dollars to help them pay for the expense of attending college or trade school.
Students in grades 7–12 can enroll in Cabrini Connections’s points system, which rewards scholastic successes such as maintaining good attendance, bringing in homework, and participating in clubs. When students graduate, Cabrini Connections converts each point into $0.10, which goes into a college fund to help allay the burden of education expenses. Graduation Dollars are awarded at a free end-of-year dinner celebration for participating students and their parents and the funding can be used toward any school-related expenses such as tuition, books, class materials, and living expenses. This year, six students are graduating from the program, with a projected total earning of about $2,000 Graduation Dollars. Cabrini Connections would like to double this monetary reward for its student participants, but requires donations in order to do so.
Join G-Team and donate $10 to help Cabrini Connections reward graduating seniors with additional financial aid for postsecondary-education expenses. ContextMedia will match half of each donation up to a total of $1,000. If G-Team members raise $2,000, Cabrini Connections can double the amount of Graduation Dollars that its students will receive this summer.
Unlike traditional Groupon deals, G-Team campaigns typically don't offer you a "discount" or "savings." So "buyer" beware—when you click "Buy" to donate your time or money to a worthwhile G-Team cause, the only discount you may receive is 100% off free, priceless karma. Read more about G-Team.
