Cahaba Podiatry's specialists take a “before” picture of patients' toenails to gauge improvement. Next, they trim, cut, and file toenails so that the beams of a Q-Clear laser can penetrate to the nail bed and reduce fungal growth. Though it typically takes one treatment to remove toenail fungus, the podiatrist will perform a complimentary follow-up treatment if there is no significant improvement after four to six months.
