On Saturday, April 20, pairs navigate almost two-dozen obstacles on a 3-4 mile prison break-themed course through Arizona Cycle Park as actual police officers patrol the race. With the Arizona State Prison Complex looming next door, participants start in waves that leave between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., and the festivities end at midnight. Costumes are encouraged; for more information, see the FAQs.

Cahoots Duo Challenge

The Cahoots Duo Challenge puts pairs through their paces, pitting them against an obstacle course that demands they work together on unconventional challenges, such as mounting the same trapeze. The Siamese Trapeze swings over a murky bog, and is just one of the almost two dozen obstacles that dots the course. As contestants cover the race’s 3-4 miles, officials award prizes to the duos wearing the best costumes, demonstrating the best teamwork, and building the best teleporter to bypass the obstacles altogether.
