Omgosh yes feel free to bring any handgun you wish. We provide this service to help get folks together with us on the range for some good family fun. This year has been a spectacular year for singles and couples to come out to the range, blow off a little steam on some zombie targets or compete with the misses only to get your butts wooped. Because thats what we do. My name is Shannon with Campbell's Firearms Training and founder of Moms4guns.com. We are one of the biggest names in Ohio and we travel as far as Cleveland to help families get in a little trigger time. We're like myth busters of the gun range. We'll work thru safety, share some insight on calibers and gun size, bust a few myths and have some fun shooting targets down range. We are very detailed and patient. We work with both beginners to avid shooters looking to zero in down range. Then if your satisfied we'll introduce you to our weekly Conceal Carry Class options and and maybe plan to return for more advance training.

No age restrictions as long as they are with a parent or guardian. Campbells firearms training is well known for working with kids. We have different size firearms for all ages. We even have air soft for the younger ones. There isn't any real way to tell whats a good age to start kids out at but if you have a curious George in your mist I will be the first to say if you own firearms and don't begin at some point to introduce firearms with them the chances are very high they will be curious when your not around. Our personal opinion is that if you have a curious George bring them along and we all can talk about gun safety and safe handling. One lucky father walked away with smile from one ear to the next when he discovered his 8 yr old little girl had fun shooting a Walther P22. His 13 yr old son was a little more timid and boy was he excited to shoot a GLOCK. He shot it very well. If your son or daughter plays video games of any sort you will be amazed how well their hand eye coordination is. But safe gun handling isn't taught anywhere better than on a firearms range with trained professionalism. Doesn't hurt for mom & dad to work on the same lessons.

I have two teenage daughters who are interested in getting hunting licenses and need to complete a firearm safety course to do so, will this program qualify for that?

Yes you get to choose which firearms to shoot but FYI You get to try out all of them if you like. 1 service fee for an hour with me on Sundays includes all our guns.

Is there an age limit? My 14 year old son has a moderate amount of experience with various weapons through his grandfather, a retired Sheriff deputy. He would love to attend this class with me.

Yes if you feel he's ready there is no better place then to spend time with certified firearms instructors on a qualified range. Please we encourage the time spent with grandpa. I'm certain he has the best stories ever. See you on the range.

I am an experienced shooter and concealed carry permit holder. My girlfriend is a novice and I've taken her to the range once. Please tell me more about the training portion of the program. Also, is there an option to have additional range time once we are there? Can I use my own handgun?

Terrific I can't believe your instructor who helped you with your CCW hasn't encouraged you to come back for more. Thats something I do with my students. I stay in touch and keep them up to speed of any new changes, current events and legislation. A lot of my past students also help keep an eye out for crime that may not be getting out in the media. Target Packages are kept very simple. It's a great way to introduce firearms to new shooters. Safe handling and firearms safety is our #1 priority with every participant. No minimum age. Whenever you feel they are ready we are ready for you. Altho hearing advice from mom & dad may be very important getting on the range with certified firearms instructors and range safety officers may also be the best thing. We're here to support moms & dads everywhere as they introduce firearms to the next generation.

Now that I told my husband that I was going to buy this and take our son as a special Christmas present from me to him ( MOM-SON outing) ...HE wants to go too! OMgosh please bring the whole family. That is what we are all about. I have Walther P22 that other 8 year olds have shot before.
