Both vehicles require you giving us an extra key or doing an interface module ($50) each....aftermarket alarms systems offer greater protection than the stock alarm.... For example if someone breaks your window your stock alarm would not go off where ours would.

I had a remote starter put in my dodge 2000 grand caravan from a different place and now my interior lights are all messed up, they don't work and my visor lights no longer work either. When I brougnt it back they said it was because the car was old and installing the remote starter might have caused this to happen and they could not fix it. I was thinking of getting this for my daughers 2007 Ford Ranger but I am so afraid of messing up her electrical stuff, have you had or heard of this kind of problem before. Tkanks

Im unsure how there starter caused it or if it was just coincidental.... But our warranty is as long as you own the car. Seeing how the remote starter shouldn't be tied into your visor lights I am unsure of how it could have caused that problem.

We would take an extra (valet is ok as long as it starts the car) place it in a bypass box and place it underneath the dashboard of the vehicle. The key may be altered to fit in the bypass so it may no longer be usable. Or we can install an interface that's clones the chip key and you get all your keys back ($45)
