$150 for Sunrise or Sunset Hot-Air Balloon Ride for One (Up to $300 Value)
Helmed by FAA-certified hot-air-ballooning instructor Captain Jack, flights launch at sunrise or two hours before sunset to glide over the Yadkin Valley’s idyllic hills, lakes, and wildlife. Prior to the flight, the passengers are encouraged to assist with the balloon preparation, after which they enjoy a multi-person, 45- to 90-minute flight. The entire experience, meanwhile, lasts 2.5 to 3 hours, including balloon inflation and a system check, a drive back to the launch site, and a celebratory champagne toast. Passengers with medical or age concerns should contact the merchant prior to purchasing to ensure proper accommodations can be made. For more information, see the flight FAQs.
Carolina Balloon Adventures
Most buildings appear to cower next to Carolina Balloon Adventures’ rainbow-hued balloon, which rises eight stories above the ground. Helmed by FAA-certified instructor Captain Jack, who has spent three decades in the aviation industry, the balloon and its wicker basket glide over the Yadkin Valley. After launching from one of four local sites, passengers can pluck leaves from treetops, or drink in panoramic views of rolling hills, streams, and landmarks such as Pilot Mountain and Hanging Rock. Flight options include dusk and sunrise flights as well as balloon-fundamentals instruction, which covers how balloons evolved from sea creatures.
