The doctor uses a WaveLight Allegretto Wave Eye-Q laser to reshape the corneal tissue underneath without damaging the surrounding tissues. The eyes heal naturally over the course of the next few days. Most people will start to see clearly the next day.

Although the treatment cannot guarantee perfect vision, it can help a patient live a more active lifestyle without relying as extensively on glasses or corrective lenses. A preliminary consultation will determine whether a patient is a viable candidate for the surgical procedure.
