- $45 for a two-hour zipline canopy tour (up to $90 value)
Clients can choose from standard daytime tours or nighttime lantern tours. To prepare for the tour, aspiring cable riders aged 3 and up take in a safety orientation on a low-hanging zipline that safely acquaints novices with the feel and techniques of flight. One by one, riders step into midair to zoom to the next platform along a suspended wire set 20–80 feet above the ground. After traversing more than 10 platforms, riders soar across a mammoth 1,000-foot stretch of cable, reaching speeds of up to 50 miles per hour. Children aged 3–12 can catch a ride for a low price, and tickets can be purchased on location. Those who wish to spend a weekend in the area may want to check out activities and lodging at nearby Hanging Rock State Park.
Your purchase of one or more Groupons will also help others enjoy the outdoors. For every 30 Groupons sold, Carolina Ziplines Canopy Tour will send one disadvantaged child ziplining — meaning that, for example, the sale of 3,000 Groupons would allow 100 or more children to participate. The kids, who wouldn't normally be able to afford the activity, will spend the afternoon on the ziplines during a planned "Day of Celebration" in the fall.
Carolina Ziplines Canopy Tour
Standing on a platform, eco-tourists pause to admire the view before stepping from their perch to soar across a high wire and admire the complex ecosystem of animals, plants, and Swiss Family Robinsons that lives in the scenic canopy. This moment—both tranquil and adrenaline-filled—occurs every day at Carolina Ziplines Canopy Tours, where experienced guides lead safely harnessed visitors on excursions through the verdant treetops of the Carolina forests nestled in the shadow of Pilot Mountain, near Hanging Rock State Park. The zipline course weaves from platform to platform, culminating in a 1,000-foot-long uninterrupted soar. After tours, guests can linger to have a picnic on the historic grounds, enjoy a bonfire when the weather’s cool, or even stay overnight in a cozy inn.

The entire staff was awesome and although I really do not like heights, the guides made you feel safe and secure at all times, I would highly recommend it.”
