More than 200 exhibitors will set up booths at Smith Cove Cruise Terminal to show off new bikes, gear, fitness plans, and travel opportunities at the 2013 Seattle Bike Expo. The terminal’s 135,000-square foot, two-floor space will buzz with local bike shops and nationally recognized manufacturers showing off their latest wares, as well as attendees admiring the dramatic vistas of Puget Sound, downtown Seattle, and the Olympic Mountain range. A special lineup of speakers and presentations will take to three separate stages, headlined by The Ryan Leech Stunt show, London 2012 silver medalist Jennie Reed, and photojournalist Mark Johnson. A photo contest will recognize six categories of bike-related images, and guests can enter a drawing to win special prizes. Kids 15 and younger are admitted free.

Cascade Bicycle Club

The Cascade Bicycle Club bolsters the Puget Sound biking community through educational programs, community action, and organized events and rides. A 14,000-rider-strong nonprofit organization, the club advocates cycling as a worthy alternative for fitness routines, daily commutes, and backup power generators. Every year, volunteers lead more than 1,000 free club rides, ranging from short joyrides to multiple-day tours, in addition to their yearly schedule of special events, including the Seattle Bicycle Expo in March, the Bike Month Commute Challenge in May, and the High Pass Challenge in September.
