Choose from Four Options

  • $19 for a snorkeling tour of Casino Point Underwater Dive Park for one (a $45 value)
  • $35 for a snorkeling tour of Casino Point Underwater Dive Park for two (a $90 value)
  • $34 for a power-snorkeling tour of Casino Point Underwater Dive Park for one (a $69 value)
  • $59 for a power-snorkeling tour of Casino Point Underwater Dive Park for two (a $138 value)

Both tours explore the same territory and include a snorkel and mask (prescription masks available), fins, a wetsuit, a snorkeling vest, and a view raft. The power-snorkeling tour comes with a Bladefish—a compact, handheld propeller that pulls snorkelers through the water. After leading a brief tutorial, instructors guide visitors through the protected reefs and sandy terrain of Casino Point Underwater Dive Park on a snorkeling tour. The waters teem with brightly colored marine life, such as blue-dotted starfish and the bright-orange garibaldi—a fish so tame it will often eat french fries straight from divers' hands. Guides also plunge down to the sea floor, bringing back marine animals for tourists to experience firsthand. After about 45 minutes of guided snorkeling, participants get time for free swimming. As there are no onsite changing facilities, guides advise visitors to wear their swimsuits beneath their street clothes. Towel rentals ($3) and locker rentals ($2) are available.

Catalina Snorkel and Scuba

Just off the coast of Southern California in the waters surrounding Catalina Island resides an underwater civilization as awe-inspiring as the city above. To see it, the experienced divers of Catalina Snorkel and Scuba outfit explorers of all skill levels to swim over the marine landscape, leading journeys into the protected Casino Point Underwater Dive Park, the kelp forest, and Lover's Cove—which made Coastal Living's Top Spots to Snorkel. In addition to guiding tours, Catalina Snorkel and Scuba also rents snorkeling equipment and leads classes that range from introductory dives to advanced, postcertification scuba training to become the next Aquaman.
