$75 for an Eight-Hour Concealed-Weapon Class ($150 Value)

A state- and NRA-certified instructor qualifies students to apply for a Michigan CCW permit—also known as concealed pistol license, or CPL—through eight hours of training, including one hour of live firing. To complete the course, students split this time between classes at the Southfield Public Library and range practice at Double Action Indoor Shooting Center. Tuition includes all necessary materials, such as range fees, books, and a gun rental. Upon successful completion of the class test, students receive a certificate of completion that they can use toward applying for a state CCW permit.
