Wine Essentials I explores the basics of wine, the characteristics of "classic" grapes, and the truth behind confusing wine terminology and misconceptions. The two-hour classes include a sampling session with a range of wines, helping students learn to discern the factors that influence the character of each. At the end of the course, students sample artisan cheeses from around the world with an eye toward pairing.
