The Fine Print

  • Expires 180 days after purchase.

Two weeks cancellation notice required or fee up to the Groupon price may apply. Customers must bring a valid Texas fishing license (except for anyone under the age of 17 or a Texas resident born prior to Sept. 1, 1930).
  • See the rules that apply to all deals.

Fishing is the only sport where you're allowed to consume your opponent, not counting baseball before 1971. Catch a bite with this Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

  • $199 for a four-hour guided fishing trip for up to four people (a $450 value)
  • $399 for an eight-hour guided fishing trip for up to four people (an $800 value)

Both options are valid Monday–Friday and include all necessary supplies: rods, reels, bait, tackle, and life vests. Licensed anglers board boats on Navarro Mills Lake or Richland Chambers Lake (depending on fishing conditions) to hook white bass, crappie, and striped bass. The staff recommends bringing a snack and an ice-filled cooler for storing fish filets.

Central Texas Fishing Guides

For Central Texas Fishing Guides’ Allen Morehouse and Tim Harrell the outdoors are more than just a hobby—they're a way of life. Morehouse was a professional bull rider until 2001, when the birth of his first son prompted him to choose a slightly tamer career path. He began guiding hunting, fly-fishing, and lake-fishing trips, sharing his extensive knowledge and passion with other nature enthusiasts. Harrell, on the other hand, has been fishing since he's been walking. Having grown up casting lures with his dad on Cedar Creek Lake, he extended his passion through his life, founding the Baylor Bass Club at Baylor University—one of the first programs in the country to join the collegiate Bassmasters circuit—and currently targeting white bass and crappie.

The duo takes groups of up to 20 anglers on full- or half-day adventures using boats designed for agility and comfort. The V8, 300-horsepower engine of the spacious ZX24V, for example, allows it to easily cut through waves on the open water and navigate shallow inlets in search of float-through fast-food restaurants.

The Groupon Guide to: Shoveling Snow

If you don't remove snow, it will build up until it covers your car, house, and even your four tall brothers who stay outside guarding the house. Here's how you can free your property from this white monster:

  • Start by picking out your shovel. The proper shovel size is as long as your arm span and large enough to incapacitate a raccoon.

  • Use the proper form when shoveling so that you don't hurt your back. Proper form is to squat all the way down on the ground, lay the shovel full of snow across your knees, and then stand up very suddenly, jerking the shovel above your head and holding it with both hands.

  • Remove the snow from your front walkway first. It might be snowing outside, but you still never know when an attractive salesperson or giant-check delivery man might stop by.

  • Continue by shoveling all of the snow from the front yard and putting it in the street. Look at all of the grass you freed.

I'll handle that raccoon.
