Questions and Answers

Is there a class to make small sculptures such as those pictured as made by Mitch Lyons?

Barbara S. asked 6 months, 14 days, 18 hours, and 53 minutes ago - 1 answer

you can take private lessons if you are interested in handbuilding but its not part of the groupon deal. Private lessons ate $30 an hour and by appointment only. i do recommend the Mitch Lyons workshop in January. He is an excellent instructor.

Is the cost of fireing included in the price?

Fred R. asked 6 months, 16 days, 5 hours, and 37 minutes ago - 1 answer

Charles P.

Yes, this is an introductory class and in the class you will use underglazes to decorate. During the class students learn to make 2 bowls and decorate them with the underglazes. I trim them and do the bisque and glaze fires and you can pick them up a week later.

if we buy the deals individually, can my friends and I use them as a group class?

Michal D. asked 6 months, 16 days, 6 hours, and 19 minutes ago - 1 answer

Charles P.

Yes, I can do up to 5 in a class. If there are more then there would be a fee because you would need an extra hour. It is normally $30 pp for the extra hour but for groupon I will do it for $15 pp for the extra hour. If there are only 6 of you then I would suggest buying the groupon for 6 which includes the extra hour.

Hi, I took classes from you years ago at the Art Center. I am trying to get some friends together to do the group party. Is the $15 deposit per person refundable? How does that work? Michal Davis

Michal D. asked 6 months, 16 days, 7 hours, and 14 minutes ago - 1 answer

Charles P.

HI Michael, if you buy the class for 6 you get the extra hour and I will forgo the deposit. Normally our max in a 2 hour class is 5 but we can do more which is why we add an extra hour to classes of 6 or more. The extra hour is normally $30pp so my suggestion would be to buy the class for 6 and then there won't be any extra fees. If you buy individual classes or the classes for 2 then you will only get 2 hours and only 5 in a class. I hope this helps and please feel free to call me or Nancy our cells are 727-385-904 and 7273859025.

Children 10 and older tend to really enjoy the class. I would recommend it.
