Questions and Answers
Dionne of D’Lashes is the queen of eyelashes!! I reluctantly had my lashes done (scared of looking like I had a spider hanging off my eye), now I’m addicted!!! I’m amazed at the difference a lash can have. My eyes just have an extra pop of glamour, but they do not look fake, just like a better version of the old me. I wake up feeling beautiful even before applying any make-up. But best of all, they are so natural that people notice there is something different but can’t quite figure out what! I’m not sure how I lived without my D’lashes for so long. Dionne is wonderful, sweet, professional and all about providing a relaxing experience for her clients. She listened to my specific wants, no one lash for all clients, and gave me what I wanted and more! Go see Dionne, you’ll be happy you did.

My question is the menu looks great for this particular class. During the class, do the participants each cook every dish, or each dish is demo’ed and students merely observe or is each dish demo’ed and students are assigned one dish to prepare. After all the cooking, I presume there’s enough food for a meal for everyone? I’m trying to figure out how these classes are structured. Also, when do we eat? After all the dishes are prepared or as each dish is prepared?
I’m also curious to know how the class will be conducted.
Does the 48 hour booking policy mean that I would not be able to do the class for tonight if I buy it today?
I am really confused. Is this for you and a friend? Can you bring a friend with you, so is it 2 per groupon?

Darrell-
I will get you the exact answer shortly. I will tell you that it is VER hands on.
Allison-
I apologize, Groupons are never valid the same day. Hopefully you can find another day you want to try it!
Facebook User-
It is 1 Groupon per person.
Taylor from Groupon

It actually looks like it’s 2 per person. I’m in charge of buying two each for myself and three friends. Do I need to buy them as separate purchases for gifts or can I buy all eight in one transaction? (All the groupons will then have my name on them.)
Darrell- Dionne’s post is not SPAM- she accedentally posted on this Cooking deal. Her business, DLashes, is running the side deal for today in case you didnt notice.

Elyse-
My apologies… I meant it’s one person for each Groupon used. You can buy 2 under your name, and as many as you like as gifts for your friends. Just know that each person can only 2 redeem 2 Groupons.
Darrell-
No limit per “table.” We did it again for you!!!
Taylor from Groupon
Hi Taylor,
so just to be clear. if i buy 2 under my name, i can still use one of those as a gift for someone else? I not limited to having to use both since they are both under my name correct?
thanks

Brenda-
That’s absolutely ok!
Enjoy everyone!

I have a question in regards to this cooking class. How long are these classes? Is there a place to hang out while they cook?
What are the cooking levels for most of these classes? I am a beginner/intermediate cook and want to take Elegant Italian in March but am concerned about the level of that class.
Can you use your Groupon for the couple classes? They are $190 per couple, so if you buy 1 for yourself and 1 for your date, can you use together?

Same question as Natasha….can I buy 2 and use it for 2 people at the Couple class?
Just wanted to say that I have taken a class here and had a wonderful time. Remember to bring your own wine!
I’m also interested in the answer to Tenny G’s and Natasha B’s question about applying 2 groupons to a couple class. Any official word from Chef’s Inc?
hi all curious chefs! I work with Chefs Inc. and have previously taken the classes before working with them and they are all awesome! The way it works is they give you the overview of the printed menu with recipes verbally first. After the discussion, you then partner off to hands on make one of the 4 or 5 dishes on the menu. So you are responsible for actually cooking one of the dishes! With supervision of course :) After about 1.5 hours of cooking and learning, you then get to eat ALL of the wonderful dishes prepared that night at the dinner table that has been preset by the Chefs Inc. staff. You are welcome to bring your own alcohol as well…It’s a great way to learn and meet new people as well.

oops, at least I wasn’t a total jerk to DL, LOL. Sorry.
To Lucia/Chefs Inc.: Will the Advanced Gourmet Series qualify for the Groupon deal? Or if it’s a bit more, will you allow people to pay the difference?
Hi Natasha and Tenny G.
Yes, you can buy 2 Group Ons and use for the Couple’s class valued @ $190/couple.
I did a wine and spirits class with my husband and we had a blast, was the last time I got him in the kitchen but the memory lives on :)
Enjoy!
Darrell,
No, the GroupOn CANNOT be applied to any series classes.
Sarah S. and Alex,
Sarah, don’t worry about the skill level, while the menus may seem intimidating, all the chefs break it down into manageable pieces so that you can learn and enjoy the experience. Even if you don’t know how to cook an egg, you will have fun and pick up some skills.
Alex, the classes are generally 2-3 hours long (that includes the eating part!) and yes, there is a hangout area of the communal dining tables if you get tired.
hi there – i don’t see where the couples classes are on the site? can somebody link or direct me? Sorry, thanks!
Hey Diana:
Look for “Date Night”
March calendar: http://www.chefsinc.net/calendars/calendar_10_march.html
Class: http://www.chefsinc.net/classes/031910.html
My groupons are processing, and I’d like to reserve classes… How do I reserve classes without paying by credit card? Will there be a number on the groupon?
Thanks!
Joe – I called them and reserved my classes over the phone. You just tell them your Groupon number (if you click “print” this will be the number at the top).
Sounds good, thanks, Juliana!
I want to know how these classes can accommodate all the people who have signed up—over 1100 of them! Aren’t they supposed to be intimate, as in less than 10 or 12 people? I don’t want to buy this if 1) I can’t get into the class I want and 2) there are too many people in it.

Adair-
Don’t worry, there is a year expiration, you’ll be fine. We try to take every precaution to make sure there is no issue like that.
Enjoy!

I am trying to purchase (3) of these for my boyfriends upcoming birthday. I want to purchase one for myself, one for my boyfriend and one for his mother. Am I able to purchase them all under my name and redeem them that way or will I have to purchase theirs as gifts?

If I purchase this with a group of friends (like 8 of us)…will we be able to do the class together as long as their is room available? OR are there only a certain amount of Groupons that can be used per class??
Erica B. no limit per table/class but you can only use 2 groupons for yourself. Other groupons has to be for different people. I purchase the groupons separately, because I wanted to email to my friends individually. But if you plan to go with them, then just order them all in your name.
But if your friends are paying for this themselves, use the referral link, so you get $10 credit for each friend that purchases.
Hope that helps.
How many students max per class?
Do I need to call to make my reservation, or can I do it through the website?
If anyone wants to sell their groupon at cost, please send me an email at slamboni (at) gmail.com. I just saw this groupon, and I would love to be able to give this cooking class as a present. Thanks!

I could use another Groupon as well if anyone has an extra- musiclover113 (at) hotmail.com
I am very disappointed with the class selection for groupon users. It appears that any class over $80 cannot be reserved by groupon users. If that is the case, I feel like I was falsely led to believe I could participate in the $85-$90 classes.
I feel the same way as Jennifer S.
It’s a little bait and switch. When I bought the Groupon the value seemed great because it said I could use it for any $80-95 dollar class, but now you can only use them for $60-$75 classes which doesn’t really represent what they sold.
I’ve called and complained to both Groupon and to Chef’s Inc about this issue of bait and switch.
I wouldn’t recommend Chef’s Inc to anyone anymore. Very disappointed with this.
I still haven’t heard back from either Groupon on my compliant or from Chef’s Inc. Haley from Groupon was supposed to follow-up on this for me.
Hmmmmm

Thats right Ladies, i will put DLashes up against any other eyelash extention business any day. Dionne, the Pioneer and Queen of Eyelash Extensions in LA, has been doing this for years. Starting out by perfecting her craft and skills then branching out to beautifying the eyez of all the lovely ladies of LA- She now has her own Eyelash sanctuary in Beverly Hills. I would recommend going to see her to get the full eyelash extension experience. You will feel exhilarated and refreshed after getting the full treatment that Dionne provides all her clients. Its Very private, calming and relaxing. Check out DLashes and see what all the buzz is about. Once you go to Dlashes you will not want to go anywhere else.
