Cher Nelson Hair Design

Hair styling began calling to Cher Nelson at an early age, when she discovered her aptitude and passion for coiffing while doing her mother's hair. After two decades of snipping manes in others’ salons, Cher decided to draw on her experience to become her own boss at Cher Nelson Hair Design. Inspired by Old Hollywood, Cher decorated her salon with inspirational images of Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, and Judy Garland, surrounded by gold and beige accents. Cher discusses new cuts at length with her clients before picking up the scissors, making sure she snips just the right amount, and gives relaxing scalp massages that ease the anxiety of parting with the friendly sparrows that frequently nest in overgrown tangles.
