The Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation, or CAASE, combats sexual exploitation of all forms by addressing the culture, institutions, and individuals that enable such acts. CAASE engages in civil litigation on behalf of survivors of sexual harm, while also advising law enforcement and policymakers in practices related to crimes such as sex trafficking, prostitution, and rape. Volunteers and staff members lead initiatives to educate community members on how to prevent further abuses and set positive examples.
One of CAASE's latest initiatives, "Empowering Young Men to End Sexual Exploitation," sends male educators to area schools to conduct multi-day workshops with groups of male teenagers. Sessions educate these young men in their roles in the community and how they have the power to speak out against these assaults and challenge cultural norms to help those whom have been sexually exploited.
Join G-Team and donate $12 to help the Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation prevent further sexual abuse and provide assistance to survivors of sexual exploitation. If G-Team members raise $800, then CAASE's educators can provide two presentations of the "Empowering Young Men to End Sexual Exploitation" for teenagers at the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center. This G-Team campaign is running in conjunction with National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, held annually to bring attention to this and other acts of sexual exploitation.
Unlike traditional Groupon deals, G-Team campaigns typically don't offer you a "discount" or "savings." So "buyer" beware—when you click "Buy" to donate your time or money to a worthwhile G-Team cause, the only discount you may receive is 100% off free, priceless karma. Read more about G-Team.
