I am a private pilot who is not current, can I use this toward getting current? Can I put this in my log book?

John, you can use it and log it, but it would not count towards your currency. It would be a good idea for you to utilize the simulator session to brush up on procedure though. We would be happy to get you current in our Cessna 172.
