Does this include "south shore line" that travels from chicago into Portage, Indiana area and beyond? Or is that a different company? I checked their web site and it does show the south shore lines on their maps, but not sure if they are the same company.

I believe the route you are referencing is a Metra train. This Groupon is valid only for CTA buses and the 'L' trains. CTA unlimited-ride passes are not valid on Metra trains or Pace buses. Thanks for your question!

Are they shipped regular mail or is it a shipping company? Does someone need to be home to receive it. No one is home during weekdays to sign for it.

How does pass work? Can one family use this pass to go downtown & back, or does each person need their own card? How does system track how card is used? Do small children pay to ride CTA?

Hi Teresa
Your pass activates the first time you use it. Just dip your pass into the bus farecard machine or the train station turnstile---and go!
The card can be activated by anyone. Once activated, passes cannot be shared or recharged (each person would need their own pass).
According to the CTA website, children under 7 ride free with a fare-paying customer. Thanks for your questions!

Where are these being shipped from? I am leaving for Chicago on Sunday and was hoping they would be here in time (if not it's not the end of the world they can be used at a later day.)

Hi, I will be travelling from Canada to Chicago this coming weekend. I know that the passes are usually delivered by mail, but is that the only option? Will it be possible to purchase it, print out the receipt and pick up the passes there in Chicago myself instead of having it delivered to me? Thanks.
