$15 for $30 Worth of Asian-Fusion Cuisine and Drinks

Sassy edamame tossed in a tangy soy vinaigrette ($6) cracks a safe of pan-Asian flavor leading to an outpouring of entrees such as madras chicken with dried chilies and curry leaves in a ChinDian sauce ($13) and malaysian kwe tieu goreng—rice noodles with shrimp and tofu in a garlic-chili sauce ($12). See the menu.

Chin Dian Café

Born in Vietnam and raised in the United States by Chinese parents, chef Nina Wong has always infused her dishes with a variety of Asian tastes. After marrying Thomas Gnanapragasam—a third-generation Malaysian of Indian descent—Wong discovered more unique flavors to integrate into her signature sauces and syrups. Originally opened in 2005, Chin Dian Café channels the pair's unique backgrounds through Asian soups, salads, and noodle and rice dishes, even offering some gluten-free options. Popular dishes, such as chow mai fun and chicken-and-chive dumplings, keep patrons rolling in and have earned the restaurant media acclaim from the Star Tribune, Minnesota Monthly, and the dictionary.

The Groupon Guide to: Tricking Your Kids into Eating Vegetables

Kids don't want to eat vegetables because vegetables aren't fun. Make legumes laughably fun with these tips for preparing vegetables:

  • Put black beans on circular slices of potato to give your kids healthier "chocolate-chip cookies."

  • Cut corn off the cob and offer their picky palates some "rotten goblin teeth."

  • Mash yams and your young ones will be thrilled to eat "a very sick man's innards."

  • An avocado kind of looks like a hand grenade.

  • Remove the strings from celery. Kids will voluntarily eat celery if it's not strung like some kind of ridiculous violin.

Mom, can I have seconds of goblin teeth?

  • Chin Dian Cafe is born out of the owners' diverse ethnicities - Vietnamese, Chinese, Indian and Malaysian. The diversity clearly shows in their recipe
