Questions and Answers
HA! Who needs insurance when you got group on! Take that Obamacare! When’s the emergency room visit deal gonna be up?!?
How many can I use to purchase sunglasses?
Hi Ms. Crim! (or Dawn, if you’d rather be referred to first name hahaha) — just being “proper”. Anyway, Thanks for the props!
@penelope, you can use one groupon for non-Rx Suns. If they need to be prescription suns, you can up to three.

Hi Dr. Henry – glad to see you hear keeping up with your Groupon! Can’t live without them!
I am interested in maybe buying a couple of these. However, they would be for my husband for prescription sunglasses. He is in the military, so obviously gets his exams through them. Could be just bring the prescrption in to order the sunglasses, or would we have to pay for an exam?
We accept outside prescriptions. So bringing that in is good.
FYI, We do accept Tricare Prime, so sometimes Active Duty can be seen by civilian docs, we would just have to call Tricare and ask if he can be seen. for sure dependants can go to civilian docs like us.
So to answer your last question, no, you wouldnt have to pay for an exam if brought an outside prescription. It’s just one less step and less time if done in one place. (plus less headache too if something is wrong wtih an outside Rx.).

I know this is a question with probably a VERY vague answer…but how much do your prexcription sunglasses usually run?
Prescription Suns need Frame + lens.
suns range from 100-300+ (average 175 ish)
Lenses start @ 90
for suns, you would have to either tint (20-25) or go polarized (80)
- We can definitely do wrapped suns in Prescription. That depends on style and prescription, but we can go up to about a -5.00 in strength in prescription.
hope that helps

Thank you Dr. Henry
I need an eye exams, lenses & contacts. How many can I purchase?
Also, when it comes to replacing the lenses on the frame I already have, will it depend on what kind of frame it is? Because it would be a waste to buy this groupon for that purpose only & it turns out you wouldn’t be able to replace them.
@Kylene
— here’s your breakdown and how it would work.
1) Eye exam
2) Contact lens fitting exam (always separate from eye exam)
3) lenses (your own frame)
4) Contacts
For the eye exam, if you have vision insurance, you can use that for the eye exam (we cannot combine the material benefits with the groupon). If you do not have vision insurance, then the comprehensive eye exam would be 140. A Groupon cannot be used on the eye exam unfortunately. Only discounted when used 3 in conjunction for frame & lenses.
You can use one groupon on the contact lens exam services.
You can use one groupon for the lenses in your own frame
You can use one groupon for the contact lenses
hope this helps and makes sense

@ Kylene —
I forgot to answer your last question
You can use your own frame just as long as it is in good condition. We do send out all frames to get lenses put into them. There is a tiny chance that it still may break at the lab, but this is at your own risk since it is not warrantied. Frames bought from us are always warrantied when sent to the lab and after you get them done.
If you already have prescription lenses in your own frame, that means we can do the prescription lenses in that frame, again, jsut as long as the frame is in good condition.
