I think it just means you can’t use three or four Groupons at any one time. You can’t go get $100 worth of chocolate for $40 on any given Sunday. Right, Chuao people?

1 per order means that on each visit to a Chuao outlet, you can only use 1 voucher. So yes, Jason, you are correct. You cannot go get $100 worth of chocolate for $40 on any given Sunday.

Hmmm, does this “in store only” bit mean you can’t buy a box of chocolates to go? You can only use the Groupon for dining/drinking on premise? Or does it mean you can’t use it for an online order?
Yes, can this be used for online orders?
Usually, deals cannot be printed/used used the day of the deal — not until the next day. Is that true on this one or can I print and use today? Thanks.
Jessica- it says “in store only” in the fine print. That usually means you have to physically go into the store to make your purchase.

This voucher is good for purchases made in our stores only. It’s not available for our web store.
We have two products that have breadcrumbs (Panko bar and Pan Con Chocolate bonbon). Therefore, we cannot claim that ALL of our products are gluten free because there could be trace gluten in the air. For someone with a slight gluten intolerance that might not matter, but for someone with severe Celiac Disease it might.

The prices you are quoting in the write-up are about 1$ apiece for a truffle, but when I looked on line, all the boxes of assortments are about 2$ apiece. Is the price in the store cheaper? If I were to go into the store and buy the 16 piece assortment box, how much would it be? And if you just buy one single piece and no box do you pay a per piece price or by the weight?

I’ve never used this groupon deal before….how do I know if the purchase went through? A receipt page didn’t pop up and it says an email will be sent in 24 hours??
Chuao Chocalatiers used to offer a couple of chocolate-making classes. Can the Groupon be used toward enrollment in one of those classes (if they are still offered)?

Now I’m totally confused. 1 per person – 2 as gifts. Do you have to show ID? How do they know you didn’t use the other 2 groupons yourself. The groupons print with your name no matter how many you get.
I referred a friend through the email option on the last groupon with Club Fit. When will i see the $10 credit?

Why is taking so long to process. I checked out several hours ago……..checked my bank account and there is a pending transaction from Groupon. I wanted to use the coupon today.
Larry-Sometimes when there is an overwhelming amout being bought, it takes a while to process. This happend to me with another order. Just hang tight…it will work.

Oh and we want a TON of people to purchase this offer, so no, we are definitely not creating a delay to scare people away. If we wanted to limit the number of offers, we would have put a cap at 1,000 or 2,000. Spread the word about this sweet deal to your friends & loved ones. I sure am :)

Ordered mine, printed, went to the Del Mar location = no problems & I don’t even live near here!! Fab gelato & hot chocolate samples…. Not overly crowded, 5 gals to help & 10 customers so not bad of a wait.
GAH! I didnt know there was a cap on the number available. I know Im a little slow in wanting to purchase one, but I was waiting for some funding. Im sad I cant buy a Chuao Groupon. =(

MAJOR bummer; I feel totally deceived. Brooke from Chuao specifically said yesterday on the comments that if they didn’t want everyone to take advantage of the offer, they would have put a cap on it. But they didn’t…until today when it was too late for many of us to take advantage of the deal that was supposed to last at least 10 more hours…I really feel like they lied, and again, feel totally deceived by both Brooke and Groupon. Totally false advertising.

not fair when they said no limit. I could understand that they may have had to say sold out at the store because they couldn’t make any more, but they still should have allowed people to purchase the groupon and just have the stipulation that the store was out, till they could replenish.

Not impressed. I joined/ordered the chocolate coupon on Friday in hopes that I could buy something as an additional Valentines gift. Never received confirmation email and never had anything go to my spam folder. Basically wasted $10. The site and concept are definitely cool if it works. I have been doing the account validation request over and over again to get my email addres validated but still no emails from Groupon. Frustrating to say the least.

Hi. I had trouble with my first purchase of 2 for $20. I was able to print one as a gift and then the other disappeared entirely. So I purchased two more and got those okay. Now my credit card statement shows the $20 purchase and two $10 purchases, even though I only received (and ordered) 3, which was the limit anyway. I’ll need to be credited $10, please.

Monique – you need to email support using the ‘contact us’ link at the top of this page. I’m not sure groupon still monitors the discussion pages this long after the offer. They have always been very responsive to me using ‘support’
My daughter loves the chocolate:) She wrote this for me after she visit the place.
“If it weren’t for the price, I’d give this place all 5 stars…but when they charge $2.25 for a tiny bite of chocolate I just can’t say “it’s as good as it gets”.
I went in because my mother gave me a Groupon and ended up getting the 12 Favorites box with the Groupon and had $2 leftover so I tried the Firecracker bon bon. As I walked out and took a bite of the Firecracker, I was pleasantly surprised by the literal explosions going on in my mouth. I gave the other half of the chocolate to my friend and she was happily surprised as well. I ended up turning around and going back into the store to get another box of chocolates for my friend’s going-away present. I love how they have some unique (even off-the-wall?) flavors, but still manage to make them all Tasty.
If you’re a fan of Rich, Sweet, and Flavorful chocolates, that are best when chased by a tall glass of milk, you’ll be a fan of Chuao’s chocolates.
I loved how the girl behind the counter let me pick whichever 12 chocolates I wanted for my 2nd box and didn’t make me stick with the 12 “Favorites.” I also appreciated how she filled my boxes with “fresh” chocolates and not the ones that had been sitting under the counter.
