Circle City Bicycles
Circle City Bicycles traces its origins all the way to 1922, when original proprietor George Dudgeon turned a childhood obsession with cycling into a career by transforming an old chicken coop into Supreme Bicycle Shop. By the time George died in 2004 at the ripe old age of 100, he left behind a legacy of friendly, personal service and fruitful partnerships with former-stockboy-turned-owner Roy Keller and business associates and cycling enthusiasts Pete Benner and Ed Pope. The current owners ensure George’s passion for bikes lives on through an enthusiastic promotion of local activities, such as assistant manager Bill Hannah’s 28-mile training rides or the Columbus, Indiana Beer Ride. Riders can gear up for workouts and commutes with college cycling jerseys, water bottles, and Gore-Tex socks before speeding down the highway on Scott aluminum-frame roadsters or zooming under subway turnstiles on recumbent bikes.
