Classic Lanes and King Pin Bowl

The murmur of the rolling ball is soon interrupted by the cacophonous crash of pins slamming into each other. At Classic Lanes’ 20 bowling lanes, yelps and cheers from teammates often follow. During Big Money Bowl, those ululations become more boisterous as bowlers win drinks, gift certificates, and a chance at the jackpot during random drawings. Bowlers can also sink teeth into burgers and sip frosty brews at the bar and grill. During birthday parties for kids, the guest of honor gets a souvenir bowling pin, whereas at birthdays for adults, they get free domestic beer and mixed rail drinks. Entertaining year-round, Classic Lanes organizes volleyball leagues and their banquet hall, which accommodates up to 350 people, can be rented for wedding receptions and special occasions.

At King Pin Bowl, burgeoning bowlers partake in a variety of junior league and bumper-bowling competitions, while seasoned strikers navigate marbled-splashed balls toward pins during league- and open-bowling nights. The bowling bastion also houses its own ale house, complete with full-service bar, outdoor seating area, grill menu, and game area for playing pool, darts, and arcade favorites.

Classic Lanes and King Pin Bowl rates vary throughout the week.

King Pin Management LLC

King Pin Management LLC nurtures and guides three restaurants and a dozen bowling centers all across Wisconsin. Their staff consultants and accountants track all these operations, tallying every penny while auditing employee performance. In addition, training instructors travel around to give employees refresher courses on proper workplace conduct, while menu developers help make restaurant offerings more taste bud-friendly. Not even pinsetters and floors escape the staff's attention—technicians comb every bowling lane and machine to root out faulty wiring and make sure new pin system computers know how to form a perfect triangle.

The Groupon Guide to: Creative Ways to Quit

Jobs are for work-loving stiffs who worship the gods of the nine-to-five clock. Throw off the shackles of gainful employment with these creative ways to end your job:

  • If you work at a place with a counter, hop over it and pretend to be a customer. When you get to the front of the line, order the I Quit! sandwich/movie ticket/bank account.

  • Send your boss an email telling him or her to meet you in the break room. When he or she shows up, be sawing the head off of an effigy you made of your work self.

  • Leave a voicemail on the phone of each of your coworkers giving them a really personal compliment. They'll know that you're being too familiar for someone who could still be considered a colleague.

  • If you work somewhere that has customers, hold them close and tell them you'll miss them. Tell them the things that have been in your heart this whole time that you couldn't express because of the unspoken boundaries between worker and customer. Let them know that though they will not see ever you in the future, you will live on in their brains like a bad brain fungus.

  • If you're a famous movie actor, just sprinkle the letters from the words "I quit" throughout the words of the dialogue in your movie.

How can I break free from being gainfully employed?
