  • $42 for Sunday admission for one (an $85 value)

The Clearwater Beach Uncorked food and wine festival takes place from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 17 and Sunday, November 18 at the Hyatt Regency’s beachfront. For the second year in a row, Clearwater Beach transforms into an arena for international chefs and culinary sponsors from local restaurants. This year, the line-up features TV chef Ralph Pagano (Hell’s Kitchen, Iron Chef America) and Swiss-trained master chocolatier Ann Czaja of Lindt and Sprüngli. More than 100 wineries ply their trade onsite, and a plethora of craft beers and micro-brews stand by to satiate thirsty guests and those who love counting no more than 99 things on the wall. Publix Aprons Cooking School provide many of the spirits and savories. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Abilities Foundation and ProStart, a high-school program of the National Restaurant Association.

Clearwater Beach Uncorked

Established in November of 2011, Clearwater Beach Uncorked invites established chefs, vintners, and brewers from near and far to congregate for a weekend of sun, fun, and fine dining. The festival is always ripe for culinary adventures: in its inaugural year, the beach featured such sights as a “sand castle” made out of cake and rice-crispie-treat crumbs, a flash mob, and countless realizations that, despite popular opinion, vegetables aren’t yucky after all.

The Groupon Guide to: Phone Greetings

Any boring person with a tongue in their face can pick up the phone and say “hello.” Here are some creative ways to answer your phone:

  • "Hi, who is this? No, don’t tell me! I want to have a confusing conversation."

  • "Hello, you’ve reached the Walking and Talking hotline. I just got a brand-new mobile phone, so I’ll be moving around my house and going to the bathroom while I talk to you."

  • "Gavin sucks! Just kidding, Gavin, you don’t suck. Oh, this is Gavin’s mom? Oh, I’m so sorry, Mrs. Gavin. I’ll go get my mom."

  • "Hello, Culver household. Margaret speaking. Edmond listening. Children not listening but tucked snugly in their beds. Fear hiding quietly under the floorboards."

  • "Hey there! Thanks for calling! I’m busy, so call back and leave a message."

  • "Hey there! Oh gosh darn it, you were trying to leave that message, weren’t you? OK, here we go again."

  • "Hey there! OH, SHOOT! OH, SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT!"

What’s with Gavin’s voice?
