Chef Paul, a former student of Wolfgang Puck, leads two-hour classes in which students learn to handcraft their own dough for linguine, fettuccine, spaghetti, and gnocchi. As their noodles cook to perfect al dente consistency, they’ll also make three types of traditional sauces: a simple tomato marinara, three-minute creamy alfredo, and mushroom marsala that incorporates just the right amount of wine. Participants finish the session by feasting on the pastas they’ve made and will also be able to bring leftovers home to refrigerate or freeze. Cooking Skills Academy

Cooking Skills Academy's four resident chefs oversee hands-on cooking classes in a custom-designed gourmet kitchen. During the 15-Minute Meals class, students learn to prepare healthy, flavorful meals in 15 minutes each and hone an arsenal of cooking techniques more efficient than trying to convince raw asparagus to walk across hot coals. Other classes include Chocolates class, Pizza workshops, and Latin Barbecue. Like sculptors constructing busts of Martin Luther from limburger cheese, amateur food artists can snack on their masterpieces as they go, and take home a copy of each recipe used in the session.
