Questions and Answers
Does the month start from the date of purchase or the date of the first class (i.e., can it be redeemed on May 1 and used throughout May?). Also, if I took a drop in class 50 days ago, do I qualify if I don’t take another class until redeeming in May? Thank you!
I also would like to know when the unlimited month starts – from the day you purchase the Groupon or the first class you take?
Would this work at the Fort Collins location?
Polina: yes, all Colorado locations are included.
Stacy: if you have a yoga package at any of our studios you are considered a student at all of them.
Jennifer and Laurie: The month begins when you redeem the Groupon at our studio.
Thanks for your questions.

If I have a 20 punch card that I bought in October and have three classes left but it will expire in Feb. can I purchase the deal or does a punch card class qualify as a drop in class?

Hi Diane,
Sorry, if you have an active package/punch card you are ineligible for the groupon deal.
I just joined this week and my free week is up next Monday, Can I sign up for this deal??

I have the same question as Derek. I’ve already had a free week about a year ago. Will I still get that free week with this deal in addition to the month?

Groupon Members,
It seems like there has been some confusion in regards to the deal. We wanted to open the deal up to former members of CorePower that wanted to come back for the new year. However, I apologize if the wording in the fine print was not clear. This is not valid for “current” members. If you have a package deal that you have, but have not used in 60 days you will not be able to participate in todays feature.
I am very sorry for any failure in the language we posted. We will make the changes shortly. We are a very transparent site and we always want to be very up front with everything. If you find any problems redeeming your purchase because of this please email support@groupon.com and we will assist you with a refund promptly.
Ryan
So, if you have used Corepower Yoga before, but not within the last 60 days, and don’t have any active membership or punch card you can use this groupon? Thanks!

Elisabeth,
That is correct. Sorry for an confusion.
Ryan

Derek and Jeanne,
If you have not purchased any classes you can take part in today’s deal. You will just not receive the additional week with the month.
Ryan
I’ve never been to Core Power, but I’m moving in April and there will be one right up the street. So, two questions…
How long can I wait to start the free month?
When does the free week of classes start, before the unlimited month?
I am so confused! I have been to Corepower, but have never purchased a punch card or package. I have done some drop in classes in the last 60 days. (maybe a total of 4 classes). Can I get this deal?

Ellen,
You just have to start your classes before the expiration in the fine print on the main page. The first week of classes begin on your first day then the one month starts right after that week.
Hope this helps.
Ryan

Kasia,
Unfortunately since you did buy a drop-in yesterday that does make you ineligible for the coupon.
We are going to keep you busy Ryan D.!
If I give this Groupon as a gift to a friend, and she has been active in the last 60 days (I’m not sure of this) can she use the gifted Groupon? Should I ask her if she is active at CorePower before buying it for her? I’d prefer to keep it secret…..
Thanks!
Ok, sorry to add to these questions, but here’s mine: I purchased a 5-class pack at the end of May, but did not use all five classes. I last attended class on 5/30/08, but the pack expired on 11/27/08, which is less than 60 days ago. Would I be eligible for the Groupon? Thanks in advance.
Can I use the pass at multiple locations? For example, one day on Grant Street, one day at Stapleton?

Kristina,
The person using the coupon has to comply with the 60 day rule. So, yes ask her if she as bought a package or a drop-in class.
Facebook User,
If the package has expired that means it is not active, so the groupon coupon will work for you.
Rebecca,
You can use the coupon at all of the Colorado locations.
Thank you for your questions!
I went to a drop in class on Dec 21, if I purchase the coupon can I then use it beginning anytime after February 21?

Emily,
Sorry but the 60 days counts today the date of purchase, not when you use it.
Problem with the days starting on date of purchase, is that my local studio isn’t even open yet.
The nearest one open is not at all convenient.
Shouldn’t you take this in consideration?
Seems like you are missing out on a lot of potential customers…I canceled my plan the end of Dec. and would love to do a month for $49. Any way you can open this up to any former students? Why not let us come back earlier?
Can you start your free week and the $49 month on let’s say May 3rd and have it run until June 5th? Or does your month need to end by May 18th?
I cancelled my monthly membership in November, but I had done a three month hold on it prior to cancelling. So the last time I actually went to a class would have been in September. Since it has not been 60 days since the cancellation of my membership but has been more than 60 since I attended class, would I qualify for the coupon?

Sandi,
If you haven’t bought a package or drop-in the last 60 days you can buy the coupon and use it when you studio opens. The date matters if you have bought something in the last 60 day, you still have four months to use the coupon.
A,
I’m sorry that the coupon will not work for you, but we can’t make exceptions to the 60 day policy.
Lindsey R,
As long as you start your coupon before the expiration date it is fine that your actual month exceeds the expiration date.
I hope this helps with your questions!

I was a CPY member; and have also bought punch cards previously. Nothing after Dec 12th 2008 though!
I was thinking/hoping of getting back to it and this looks like a great incentive to get back sooner. I am curious to know if I would qualify for 4 weeks or 5 weeks?
Either way it is a good deal for me; and I bought this groupon.
Thanks CPY.
The 60 day drop in restriction seems very limiting. I understand for people who are monthly members of have a package, but if you have dropped in you may have only gone once defeating the purpose of the promotion…oh well.
So just to reiterate, the Aurora location states an opening date of March — is that a solid opening date, and what is the exact address of this location.
Sorry for the questions, but not a deal unless you can use it !!!
One more questions – If I want to go to a drop in class next week but want to wait until May to use my month, can I do that?
I just got on here to see what Groupon Deals are in Denver, IF I WAS ONLY IN DENVER!!!! I love Core Power yoga, I went to the South Broadway Studio all the time and miss it dearly! I live in LA now and there are no studios that even come close to Core Power Studios. This is an amazing deal too! Everyone should snatch it up!

Sandi,
The cross streets are Tower and Hampton. When dealing with construction and timing it is hard to be very concrete with our dates. We are planning on March but we can’t say for sure, but this coupon doesn’t expire until May. And now worries about questions, ask away!
Lindsey R,
I am finding out more details to answer your question. I will get back to you when I know the answer.
Katherine,
Thank your for you nice comment!
VJ,
You will be able to use the coupon at all of our locations, even the new ones when they open!
Melissa… I truly mean it, I so wish that I could fly back to Denver just for the classes. I have a question in regarding the gifting… I would like to buy this for my best friend without telling her about it… I am almost positive that it has been over 60 days since she has been back to the studios, she would be going to the new highlands location. Is there a way for me to call the studio and see if she has gone or not so that I can just gift this to her????
Lindsey, we set up the Groupon offer in our system so that lapsed and new students would be eligible. If you did a drop in class this week, you would no longer fall into those categories.
Hope this helps.
How do we know the minimum # that must be met in order for us to receive this coupon?
if i purchase this for my mom too, who has never been, does the free extra week apply to her too? does she use this “free week” after her month has expired???
Hi Melissa- Is there anyone we can call? I just so happen to drive by your park meadows studio in December and was so excited because it was right by my work. and hadn’t been to a Core Power studio in a few years so on a whim dropped in and got into a class. Does that now disqualify me? I don’t even know if it my account was updated because it was so last minute and we were rushing to get into class. let me know your thoughts

Katherine,
It’s too bad there isn’t a studio near you! Unless you are the actual student the studios are unable to give out personal information. You are going to have to be sneaky about asking your friend about her activity at the studios. Your Mom will get the free week as part of her month. So she will get 5 weeks of unlimited yoga.
Angelica,
The minimum number has been passed, this deal is on!
Angelica, the minimum was reached early this morning. You can keep track of this right on the feature page.
Katherine, you should certainly use this groupon to get your mom started. When she redeems the groupon at the studio, she will get the free week first, then her month will activate automatically after that. 5 weeks of unlimited yoga!
Danielle, you can call the Park Meadows studio (South Denver studio). Find their studio location page on our web site.
Amanda, you are eligible.
Thanks girls for answering all these questions… one more, I am going to try and be sneaky to make sure my friend is eligible, but probably won’t knwo before tonight. I know it says I have a few more days to buy, but is there a point where this ofer is goign to sell out??? I am nervous:)

Katherine, the offer will end Sunday evening and it will not sell out. You can wait to find out about your friend!
Okay, I read through all the questions and I think I have a new and unique one. I have been taking advantage of the free beginner classes (within the last 60 days) but have not purchased a class in months. Does this make me ineligible? Thanks!

Angela, as long as you never purchased a package or drop-in class in the last 60 days this coupon will work for you.
I want to buy this groupon! I have never taken yoga here. The studio I want to use is opening in Feb 2010. SO my question is if I buy this can I save the coupon until that studio opens? Also if I start at that studio but I am closer to another studio can I drop in there? (are they all linked)

Amanda, the coupon doesn’t expire until 5/18/10 and you will be able to use it at any location. Once you start your coupon that is when your month starts.
Where will the new location be in Aurora?

The cross streets for the new studio will be Tower and Hampton.
I qualify for and bought the groupon. I don’t plan to redeem it until May. My question is: Can I pay for occassional individual classes or attend free classes between now and the date I redeem the Groupon. Thanks.
Bummer… I’ve been hitting up some of the free classes offered, and felt guilty for using so many free ones and paid for a class Wednesday (when there was a free class at the same time). You know, tryin for some good karma. But instead it looks like it prevents me from this great deal.
Due to lack of work, I can’t afford to go to that many paid classes, and this would have been a sweet deal.

Hi, I’ve been reading the questions, but I don’t know if you answered this already.
I used my “free week” just before Xmas, but never purchased anything. No drop ins, nothing. Do I still qualify for this? I hope so!
Thanks!

Jennifer, you can still go to the free classes.
Jess, as long as you haven’t bought a package or a drop-in the coupon will work for you.

Can you use attend classes at more than one location during your 5 week membership?

Bridget, you can visit any of the Colorado locations.
HI I wanted to buy this for a friend for her birthday. I do not know if she has been to a drop in the last 60 days can I still buy this for her? How do I handle this?

Jennifer, you will need to ask your friend. If she has purchased a class in the last 60 days the coupon will not be valid.
Hey there, so can I use this GROUPON in Colorado Springs…the description says…
Redeem your Groupon for any class offered at any Denver location…Thanks!

Do you have to buy the membership of $119 when you arrive to use this Groupon?
Hampton / Tower is perfect — I’m right down the block.
As long as you guys honor it after May 18th if contruction gets backed up ( shit does happen)
Then I’m in
I have tried to buy this 3 times! I keep getting an error that my email is invalid, in use or blank. None of which should be true. What am I doing wrong?

Marybeth, the coupon will work at all Colorado locations.
Amanda, I’m not sure what is going on it might be a groupon issue.

lauren commented 28 minutes ago — Do you have to buy the membership of $119 when you arrive ath the PowerYoga studio to use this Groupon?

Sorry I missed your comment Lauren, no you do not have to buy a membership.
My friend only did the New Years Eve donation class. Does this count as a drop in class as there was on charge?
My question—has anything changed? Am i still going to be taking classes with so many people that it’s no fun? (right up against the door, besides a vent [happened a lot at the Grant street studio] behind a pole) i just got really tired of fighting for a decent space. And please don’t tell me to get there earlier—i’ve got 2 kids and i have to find sitters to help me go to class so i don’t get a lot of time to lounge in the perfect spot.
What say you?

Facebook, thank you for your feedback. I understand your concern about class size. Within the next few months we will be opening serveral new studios, this will help give you more class options.

Facebook User,
I too am a ‘numbers’ person. We are at just about 1,000 people who have purchased today’s deal, seem’s insane huh? With 15 locations and on average, from what I see on the schedules, 43 classes a week. I would guess that the average Groupon purchaser will go 3 times a week, fair to say? Even with that dedication, class sizes will only increase on average 3-4 people. And that is only if everyone redeems the same month (highly unlikely).
I know these are averages and there will be some exceptions to class sizes, but I guess what I am trying to say is when you break it down, it’s not as overwhelming as it may seem.
I hope you enjoy todays deal and thank you all for the comments and questions. Thanks Melissa and Holly from CorePower for taking so much time out of your day today to answer questions as well.
Ryan
Thanks for the feedback. i’m still a little worried about buying this. Your other locations are not open yet, and, i get the feeling the Grant street, where i go, is where a lot of mid-town folks will also be attending. i live downtown and prefer not to drive so it doesn’t really leave me a whole lot of choices.
Hello – I have yet one more variation on the ‘am I eligible’ topic. I won a month unlimited at a silent auction in November that I activated in December. Does that count as buying a package?
Thanks!
Sara G. – The package you won is still an active package and therefore makes you ineligible for this offer. I do hope you have been enjoying your yoga experience.
I am a starving student… and my financial won’t be here until next week. It’s already in the mail according to the school…so my question is: Can I still get this if I can’t pay until next week? I can even leave my card number with you or put a small deposit to hold until next week. That would be great!
Does a free donation based class make someone ineligible for the Groupon?
Anthony, Sorry, the Groupon offer is only valid through the date(s) of the feature and we can not extend it.
Susan, if you have only taken the free donation class, you are eligible for this offer.
One more question- I bought a package for my sis for xmas. But I personally have been inactive for >60 days…and would like to get back into it. Will this still work for me?
I selected a quantity of two coupons in the box when I purchased this coupon, one for me and one for my spouse. Of course they only asked for one name and I must have overlooked the gifting option. Is this going to be an issue when we come to redeem it and both coupons have my name on it?
In my haste to purchase this great deal, I did not see the “for a friend” link. I bought a Groupon with my name as the “recipient” but I want to give it as a gift to my fiance. Do I need to come in with her to fix this or can I call? Thanks for your assistance.

Lia,
You should be ok. As long as the classes you purchased were not for yourself.
Kelli,
You will not have an issue. Every Groupon has a unique number on it and that is what they will look at for validation.
Peter,
Pretty much the same answer as for Kelli. The name on it is not important. You will be fine.
Ryan
Is there an estimate on when in Feb the Colorado Blvd location will open?

Jane, the studio should open by the end of February.
I apologize if this has already been covered, but I don’t see that anyone has asked yet. Are the reduced fee $8 beginner classes considered drop-in classes that disqualify me for this deal?
is this offer still available? i am new to groupon and can’t fin it.

Sorry Bethany, this feature is not available any longer. Our features only last for 24 hours, except for our Friday features which are available all weekend.
Hopefully we will feature something else that catches your interest soon.
Ryan
Hey Ryan, I purchased this Groupon because the fine print said “you cannot be a current member.” I assumed this referred to auto-pay, because that’s what I have always thought of as membership? My 3 month package ends in a month. Does this mean I will have to “quit” Core Power until May in order to qualify for the Groupon? That doesn’t seem to make sense from your perspective most likely? Please advise. Also, I am generally impressed with Core Power’s customer friendliness, ie: free classes from time to time, but I think it’s a pretty poor business idea to alienate your best customers by not allowing them to qualify for the Groupon. You should be rewarding these folks rather than causing them to resent your company for such rules.

Katie that sounds like a membership to me with out the auto pay…. If you signed up at Core Power for a 3 month package you probably had to register with them and they have your info. If you look at the fine print it clearly says
“Valid to customers who have not purchased or used any yoga package or drop-in classes in the last 60 days. Not valid for current members.”
Businesses are also free to choose if they would like to make a deal valid for new customers only or if they would like to open it up to previous customers as well.
Sounds like the resentment is in the fact that someone didnt read the find print more so over the fact that this is not valid for existing customers
Elyse, thanks for your (unsolicited) commentary. Two things:
1) If you have ever gone to Core Power, you would be aware that “members” on auto-pay get certain things that “non-members” don’t get. This includes free yoga mats, free water and the ability to pass through the lobby without checking in with an employee. With a three month package, I would have to pay for these things. This is why I interpreted membership as such.
2) The “fine print” actually changed and I have a print out of the original Groupon to show this. It is also reflected in Ryan from Core Power’s first post, where he says: “I am very sorry for any failure in the language we posted. We will make the changes shortly.” The ORIGINAL fine print (when I purchased the Groupon) did not include the “not valid to customers who have not purchased or used any yoga packages or drop-in classes in the last 60 days” clause. The fine print you see now is different than it was on the day of the deal.
Soooo…. If you could please hold your negative commentary about my interpretation of the deal until you have all of the information, I would appreciate it. Not sure who stole your cheese today.

I just purchased yoga sessions at Corepower studio in Ken Caryl. ….hence, I don’t qualify for the offer. However, can I purchase this Groupon and apply it at a studio I never went to before (Cherry Hills)? Thanks
