Choose from Four Options

  • $17 for a wash, haircut, and blow-dry (a $35 value)
  • $39 for a wash, haircut, blow-dry, and set of foil highlights (a $95 value)
  • $75 for a wash, haircut, blow-dry, and Keratin treatment, which straightens hair and eliminates frizz for up to six months (a $150 value)
  • $30 for a blow-dry class (a $60 value)

During blow-dry classes, which run on Monday nights at 6:30 p.m., seasoned stylists show students how to style their hair at home using various tools. Instructors supply styling products and also wash students’ hair before demonstrations. Students must bring their own blow dryers, curling irons, flat irons, and brushes.

Some hair-straightening products that claim to be formaldehyde-free include aldehyde compounds, which are similar to the carcinogen formaldehyde. Side effects may include nosebleeds, headaches, vomiting, and respiratory problems, among others. Learn more about the health risks here.
