Singing is a way to make art with nothing but your body, just like dancing or punching a hole in a Picasso. Break artistic boundaries with this Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

  • $98 for one month of unlimited Vocal Work Out classes (a $199 value)
  • $178 for two months of unlimited Vocal Work Out classes (a $398 value)

In Vocal Work Out group lessons, renowned voice coach Craig Derry leads students in his personal vocal-aerobics system, strengthening diaphragms and helping each singer develop their own voice. Exercises focus on breathing, ear training, vibrato, and phrasing to beef up aural power and supercharge self-confidence. Classes are held seven days a week, with morning and evening sessions available. See the schedule here.

Craig Derry's Vocal Boot Camp

Though his client list includes such stars as Alicia Keys, Katy Perry, and Mary J Blige, Craig Derry says on his website that his primary goal is to "make sure everyone has a chance to learn the tools they need to be successful." In his daily Vocal Bootcamp sessions, Derry puts larynxes through their paces with a technique called vocal aerobics, which he developed while touring. Because he knows that the demands of live performance can be far harder on voices than the controlled conditions of the classroom, he takes extra care to develop solutions to colds, fatigue, stage fright, and accidental helium ingestion. Fast-paced exercises have students zipping up to high notes, harmonizing on the fly, and building endurance to stave off hoarseness.

The Groupon Guide to: Types of Forks

The fork is one of the most important inventions of recent years, and since its debut fork makers have pushed themselves to be better fork makers, creating more than thousands of specialized forks. Here's a small sampling of the forks available in these fork-rich times that we live in:

  • Salad fork
  • Side salad fork
  • Soup fork
  • Swork (combination fork/sword)
  • Corn fork
  • Cutting fork
  • De-fatting fork
  • Finger fork
  • Baby fork for babies
  • Baby fork for small adults
  • Brork (fork made of bread)
  • Tork (toasted brork)
  • Flossing fork
  • Forkington M. Forksmith, the Fork with Plenty of Personality
  • Four chicken bones held between your knuckles
  • No-Chork™ the Fork That's Safe to Swallow
  • A stick, or nature's fork
  • Anything, because a fork is just whatever helps you get food from outside to inside your body

This year, I'm thankful for all these forks.
