It’s difficult to hit a target from far away, which is why holes-in-one are rare and the Goodyear blimp has never been shot successfully with an arrow. Drive hard with a vengeance, thanks to this Groupon.

Orange Lake Resort

The splendid fairways of four scenic golf courses blanket the grounds at Orange Lake Resort, drawing in clubbers with layouts designed by some of golf’s premier architects. Originally crafted by Joe Lee—whose resumé includes the Dubsdread course, recent host of the PGA Tour’s BMW Championship—The Reserve has since been refurbished by Mike Dasher to challenge golfers with more bunkers, water hazards, and pelicans trained to give bad reads on every green. Arnold Palmer’s course-design company lent its skills to two fittingly named courses: The Legends, a 7,071-yard course that incorporates both open, links-style elements and pine-lined, woodland holes in a seamless layout, and Legends Walk, a nine-hole executive course with five sets of tees and lights for post-sunset pin hunting. The nine-hole Crane’s Bend course rounds out the quartet with an undulating utopia encircling a pristine lake where a central fountain showers the water with a steady mist and the freshly liberated spirits of drowned golf balls.
